    What to do?

I might add, when it comes apart this time put some inexpensive RPM I beam rods in it. The crank will do fine for what the block will hold, but go ahead and spend the $400 for new 4340 rods with ARP fasteners. http://www.racingpartsmaximum.com/sae4340ibeam-2.html Joe

Never had the issue myself, but it is fairly common. I believe it has to do with certain year model trans and bellhousings. Glad you got it back going! Joe

I hate to see you give up. I have to ask, what is going to be different about a classic? The fox platform didn't come with a turbo 351, that was self induced. Also, you tried to cut some corners along the way. I know that sounds a little harsh, but I am trying to internet slap you into...

    1/8th Mile Time?

I think a t5 will be a downgrade in durability. They can be built tougher, like mine, but I would not go with a stock unit. Great outcome so far, keep it up. Joe

    Differential question

Really not sure as I have never owned one. I think they may be a little stronger and not need as frequent rebuilds as you suggested, but I truly don't know. Joe

    Differential question

Seen claims of the track lok being good to around 700hp, but I truly don't think it would last at that level with regular abuse. I have been running one for about 7 years on a 331 with about 100 passes on it. Joe

    God looks after idiots too...

He did have a cage in the car, watch the end where he is at the gas station. It looks like a bolt in deal though. Definitely makes me want to go full weld in. Maybe you just don't see it in the video, but was he even wearing a helmet? Joe

    God looks after idiots too...

We all know it's dangerous, but seems like this car wasn't built with good safety measures. Looks like a bolt in cage? View: https://youtu.be/l6Xvvnsv150

The other thing that screams thrown together is the red engine bay. That bugs me tremendously. Joe

Fox Matt Farrah's '88 Coupe For sale

I have seen a few write ups on this car. Fairly cool, but honestly the build fit and quality didn't impress me at all. It struck me as almost rat roddish, just kinda roughed together with some good parts. Good for him if he can get that price but I wasn't overly impressed. Joe

That's pretty good numbers. It amazes me at what A gt40 intake can produce. Joe

I think I have to agree with Mike. Now perhaps doing that will allow pressure to move quicker to the valve cover where you have a breather system available to remove the pressure, but the pressure is only going to find it's way back through the drain holes to the pan again. I love watching...

Tony use to race in a class with my father n law about 15 years ago. Super nice guy and knows his stuff. When I bought my car it had been tuned by him. He was nice enough to answer the phone and try to answer any questions i had about the car. Glad to hear he is still in business and doing...

    Coilover springs?

Just measure your coil over sleeve, I think most are made for 2.5" springs if my memory serves me correctly. You can buy any brand name the same size. I will add this, I cheated out and bought summit brand springs and they do fit loose even though they are advertised at the same I.D. as my UPR...

I have been to his shop behind his house before, real nice guy. He dyno tuned a motor for my father n law about 10-12 years ago. First time I ever saw a 1000+ hp naturally aspirated motor close up (not my father n laws). Joe
