    D-1SC installed!

    About 8 1/2 PSI. It's a 3.85" pulley.

    D-1SC installed!

Got the good 3-core intercooler. The tune is pretty safe. I'm just trying to keep it under 6,000.

    D-1SC installed!

It was a bumpy ride, but my D-1SC is finally installed, and she got tuned by Manny at HPP this afternoon. She put down 473 RWHP and 422 RWTQ. That's a little more than I was trying to get, and considering that my shortblock is stock I'm going to have to be a little gentle. :nice: Here's my...

Ford GT Fuel Pump: Fuel Pressure all over the place?

I did use the stock hat, but a new piece of fuel line firmly clamped down. Doesn't matter now. The Cobra tank just went on and it's working perfectly. Round 2 of tuning tomorrow afternoon.

Ford GT Fuel Pump: Fuel Pressure all over the place?

Well, got the car on the dyno yesterday and this problem persisted. And this is no run-of-the-mill tuner, it's Manny at HPP Racing. He adjusted the tune for the Ford GT fuel pump, something he's done many times without issue, and the fluctuation in fuel pressure was still a problem. (The...

    What is this connector for?

What is this wiring harness for? We we thinking of taking it out because it's partially in the way of my ProCharger intake, but we weren't sure if it needed to be located there or not. When you pull it out of the radiator shroud, it's got a strange-looking green cylinder in it. Can this be...

    Welding Axel Tubes?

It's best to take the assembly off, put it in a jig to make sure it's all straight, and weld it while being held in place by the jig. Some people do it on the car, it's just considered riskier.

    Installing all new speakers?

I built my own setup using Boston speakers with crossovers for the tweeters, and dual 10" MTX subs. It really wasn't hard, it just took some time. I'd definitely run your own speaker wire. Remember to keep those wires as far from the power supply wires as possible. I ran mine down opposite sides...

    Welding Axel Tubes?

I have 125,000 miles on DRs and a few hundred passes on slicks with 308 RWHP and have had no problems. I've also heard of people spinning the tubes on stock horsepower and street tires. I'm going to get mine welded along with the torque boxes soon.

Ford GT Fuel Pump: Fuel Pressure all over the place?

Thanks, Don. That's some good info. I'm confident that the sensor is fine. The way the car would react when the pressure was low and when it stalled in relation to what my fuel pressure gauge was saying seemed to be in sync. Plus, it wasn't over pressurizing too badly. With the stock...

Those of you with cams installed by shop

Yeah, the prices I was quoted for doing a cam and valve spring install were so high it's what made me start learning to do my own work. The cam swap is really not hard at all, but the valve spring install... :notnice: For that, I'd honestly prefer to pull the motor, then remove the heads and...

Ford GT Fuel Pump: Fuel Pressure all over the place?

Mine does bounce around when ideling, yes. Although, it didn't do it at first. At first the pressure would spike sometimes, then drop dramatically. Now, it's just cyclical. In a 1-second period the pressure spikes to 50 PSI, then drops to around 20 PSI, then repeats. I spoke to a couple...

Ford GT Fuel Pump: Fuel Pressure all over the place?

I used submersible fuel line and some stainless hose clamps. I'll be curious to see what yours does if you drive it a bit (do it gently ). Mine was fine ideling at first, but seems to be getting worse the more I drive it. My tune is tentatively scheduled for March 1st, so I'm hoping...

Ford GT Fuel Pump: Fuel Pressure all over the place?

Not absolutely sure, but the issue started immediately after installing the new pump. I see nothing that makes me think there's a problem with the sensor, and I can't believe it would have gone out at the time exact time I put the pump in. When the pressure gets low, it raises the pressure...

Ford GT Fuel Pump: Fuel Pressure all over the place?

I think it's just because the pressure dropped to 5 PSI and stayed there for some reason. I'm just trying to drive the car really gently for now. It's my daily, so I have to drive it.

Ford GT Fuel Pump: Fuel Pressure all over the place?

I guess I should have waited and done this upgrade at the same time as the blower. I wonder if there's any way to trick the computer temporarily. Like maybe unplugging the fuel pressure sensor or something.

Ford GT Fuel Pump: Fuel Pressure all over the place?

The plot thickens. Thew a code because of this today. When I left work, the fuel pressure was just cyclical. In about 1 second, the pressure would spike to 50 then drop to 20, then repeat. After a few minutes of driving, the pressure suddenly dropped to about 5 PSI and just stayed there...

Upstream Oxygen Sensors - On with open loop tune?

Actually, I did replace the line. I cut it between the connectors down to about 1/3", then spliced in a replacement wire. I then wrapped the ends in electrical tape and pushed the mesh back over the whole thing. It's amazing to me that the wire had NO jacket on it at all. It wasn't melted...

Upstream Oxygen Sensors - On with open loop tune?

I could clearly use a few classes on how to use a multimeter. The possible short I located was in the driver's side upstream O2 harness extension which came with my long tube headers. One of the wires (I'd have to get it in the air to see which one) had absolutely no shielding on...

What kind of injectors do I need?

Cool, thanks. Looks like just what I need.
