    If it really sooty looking, I would say its rich. Whats the plugs look like? How hot is the motor running? I would run the codes on it and go from there. There has to be something in the ignition or puter.

    I changed the stock maf and inj to a pro-m and 24#s, and JMS said the chip had to be reburnt because of the different maf curves. Whether or not that matters since you seem to already have an aftermarket maf, I don't know.

    I just ground down the bottom of the EGR and the vacuum fitting on the drivers side. I have a cobra intake and fox covers of that helps ya any. Good Luck

    Ok, your making it more complicated than it is...lol...Just line up the dots on the two gears, ignore the crank key. Lining the dots guarantees it will be timed right.     Getting ready to fire new motor, We are putting in new maf and inj (pro m and 24's) I know I have to pull the chip I have, but will the car run with the 24's until I can get the chip reburnt? Or should I just get it running with the stock maf/inj? Thanks
