Hooking power steering back up.

When I took my pump off the other day, I lost all my fluid. I hooked up my new pump, but am I gonna have to like bleed the system or anything when I put the new fluid in?

Pour it in turn the car on and turn the steering wheel right to left a lot (wheels off ground), then fill as needed.

no biggie....fill it up and start her up. let it idle while you crank wheels lock to lock. keep fluid in it till turns smooth and thats it.

Is this one of those things where somebody needs to be filling it as I'm turning the wheel, or can I turn the wheel a few times, fill it, turn it a few more times etc. etc.?

Nope, just fill it turn the wheels, when it start yelling add more. I prefer to do it with the wheel in the air so the pump doesn't work too hard until it's full.

I would even take that a step further and fill it and turn the wheels a lot with the engine not running until it seems to not be taking any more fluid. then start the car and fill it properly.
