    Huge timing chain debate!

    Your good to go. As long as the dots lined up it's good. Lining the dots puts the cam and crank in "phase" so it is on the compression stroke.

    Dont panic yet, try to find another cap and just have the mains rebored/honed. A good machine shop should be able to handle it. Or go big bucks and get some milodon main caps for it. I have no idea if they would add much strength ot not, maybe someone else has an idea. good luck

The mods are the dreaded e303, l/t macs, cobra intake and y303 heads, all on a new shortblock. question is does this need 24# injectors/maf or are 19#'s ok? will there be noticable diff between stock inj/maf and 24#/75mm maf? would...

    Aluminum Heads....which ones for me?

    dont forget if you go with TW, you have to buy pushrods and different rocker arms if you still have pedastal mount now. Just an idea, buyfordracing has y303 for $749. I know they are not in the same leage as TW,AFR or Edel but for the $$ thats tough to beat for a new aluminum head. Just my .02.

    Are all late model 5.0 cranks the same? by that I mean the HO has a different firing order than the regular 5.0. Is the diff in the camshaft phasing or are the cranks physically different?

    it'll come with instructions, just pull out the puter and makee sure you clean the contacts real well!!!!! putting it all back in is a little tricky with the chip installed but not to bad. havn't ran the car in the 1/4, run 1/8 once but was a waste of time, my sixty was like 2.3, with 1/8 of 9...

    I wouldnt think so, they should bolt right up. They may need shimmed for proper preload though. good luck

    I got a chip from JMS and they rock...cured the surging/bucking and idle probs. plus they can do other things too....but a word of advice, unless things have changed there, it will take forever to get a response by email, call them for best results...just my .02.

    a small amount gets by the seal, kinda like you said, a film is left on the valve stem.

    Transmission swap - DIY job or take to a shop?

    it will take a little more than 2 hours, the h-pipe has to come off, gotta pulll the shifter, drop the driveshaft, ect... its not complicated, but it does take longer than you think. laying on your back gets old quick. good luck and make it as fun as possible.

    need a psiton kit, looked at the one summit sells with bearings,gasket,piston,rings,ect, anyone ever use one of these. and any idea what the cr would be with gt-40 irons? looks like a decent price for what ya get. any info would be great, thanks, Randy

    i'm no expert but if you are wanting a direct bolt up i would say no, just looking at the pic its shorter. plus the 94/95 stangs have a weird input shaft length. Anything can be made to fit, how much $$$ and rffort you want to put in it? just my humble opinion.

    weird crankcase pressure problem

    ok, added l/t and o/r pipe , now all of a sudden have excessive crankcase pressure!! checked pvc and its working. car had been sitting for about 1month or 1 1/2 before did the work. any ideas? I am stumped!! guess am gonna pull valve covers to see if any valve train probs, but car ran fine...
