Pick a wheel to put on my 67

Thanks a lot. The suspension is GW springs, upper and lower tubular control arms . I did relocate the upper control arms per the Shelby spec. I'm still running leafs in the back but they are custom. I have a FR rack up front as well. The wheels on the car right now are 17x9.5 and 17x7's TTII's...

    Lowering Classic's

I agree with CarFreakGT. The Shelby upper control arm mod is a must. It really does improve the handling of the car. You can look at pics of my car in mygarage to see what it looks like. Some like it, some don't. Build the car the way you want.

Pick a wheel to put on my 67

You are correct. I believe it's also a race tire that they use as well that you or I can't run on a street car. Thanks for letting me know what they run. Of the million times I've been in the pit's with the crew's, I don't think I knew that one. You were very helpful.

Pick a wheel to put on my 67

I couldn't agree more. I enjoy seeing all kinds and syles of Mustang's. My father has owned this car since 1969, it's been mine since I was a little boy. I've been around them for a while as well. When I speak of handling and braking, a late model V6 Mustang is not what I'm talking about. If...

    Well the engine is here...(pics)

Nice motor. What kind of power are you expecting out of it? I am assuming this is going into the 67? Sould be pretty wicked with the blower.

Pick a wheel to put on my 67

I am sure their are guys out there running 15"s that handle well. You have to look at all aspects of the car. The type of tires you run will make a huge difference in most cases. The 02's handle ok assuming you're talking about a GT or Cobra but I would not call them a great handling car and...

Pick a wheel to put on my 67

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm not running 20" rims, I will be running 18's. Some guys are stuck in the 60's, 70's or 80's, times change and so does trends. If you like classics but you want modern performance, you have to change. You arn't going to get morder brakes, handling etc... with 15"...

How is my wheel decision?????? I'm pulling the trigger this week for sure. I have narrowed it down but, who know. I had decided against the dark center but, I saw a set of DPE GT7's with dark centers and I loved them. Check out my wheel thread on here and let me know what you think. Did the...

Pick a wheel to put on my 67

Hey Guys, I started a poll on another site and it's pretty much split down the middle with a few suggestions. I thought I would try you guys to see what you think I should put on my 67. I have struggled for almost a year to pick something for this car. I want something different but I still want...

I have always wanted to ask you about the PHR photo shoot. Did your tires rub at all during the cornering shots? That left front tire in that cornering shot looks like it's laying on the fender. BTW car looks great.

To modify or not to modify?

It all depends on what you want out of the car. It's a coupe so the value is minimal anyway (in relation to others) so I say modify it. People have always said for the longest time that stock cars bring more money, not so anymore. Look at the BJ auctions or any other and you'll see modified cars...

This is my 67 Vert that I'm still working on. The motor is a 408 with a nitrous plate system. The trans is a built C4 with a GearVendor overdrive unit. Custom interior and trunk, cloth top and that's about it. It was my first car so it has always meant a lot to me. Great site guys. Thanks for...

    Wheel I.D.

Looking at them closer, they might be the Foose Nitrous Thrust? I know they are Foose but not sure whice one of these two rims it could be. I don't have my glasses on and I'm getting to old to pick out details on this computer.;)

    Question about Convertible tunnel plate

I have a 67 Vert and I decided to leave mine connected. I run custom sub-frame connectors as well. I would keep it. It does become a little bit of a pain to run your exhaust but, it does help keep the flexing to a minumum.
