Best place to buy New Valves? Re-Building GT-40 Heads, need Valves!

I would check Summit. I got my valves from my head shop. I got my springs from Summit. And by head shop, I meen the ones for a motor, not myself.

    FMU Question

The FMU should have no effect without boost being supplied to it. I would keep a vacuum line to it so it stays wide open during higher vacuum conditions, and thus won't pinch the return. Like when the car is under light throttle, or idling.

    Hypergrounding?

Of course they demonstrate on a Civic. The only improvement I could see is crom a better grounded coil, allowing better spark. The engine ground on a Honda is a joke. And most are about to fall off anyway. But 5hp could just be dyno error. I think the only thing it will improve is cold start.

    Stereo wiring... 1989

Green w/yellow stripe is constant power. Light blue w/red stripe is the other illumination wire. From Tmoss' help page: http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/mustangFoxLights-Radio_diag.gif Should help.

Can someone identify this supercharger for me?

That's an M90 right off a Thunderbird Supercoupe. The reason it is mounted like that is because it is customary to have the throttle before a roots or twin screw blower. It becomes a real pain to incorperate a bypass valve for a blowthru setup, or that's what I have been told. But this one still...

    clutch fork out of place?

Try looking in the hole where the fork travels with a flashlight and see if it has come undone. And from how my fork feel, I don't think you can just wiggle it back into place. Sorry

    clutch fork out of place?

Hmmm It may have come out alright. It might be easier to pull the tranny. Also, could the throwout bearing have fallen out of the fork before the engine was mated to the tranny? That would cause a ton of play. I'm just throwing out ideas. Most likely you will have to pull it apart again.

    Spec Stage 1 clutch?

I would opt for the stage 2. It will hold for just about any future mods. So you don't have to get another clutch. I think the effort is less than the King Cobra, but I have always run SPEC clutchs. Nothing else.

    Traclok problem...

I have an Explorer rear end in my truck which has 31 spline axles. I need to rebuild the trac-lok, but was told by a dealer that the kit was $80, not the $50 that everyone has posted they paid. Is this because of the 31 spline? Or could it be that the parts guy looked up the wrong part? He...

    I got a Huge Problem

Do you know if you have enough piston to valve clearance? Also, do you know how the cam was installed? Straight up... degree'd? I have not worked with roller rockers yet, so I'm not sure how to lock them in place. What ratio rockers are they?

    Can't figure out this T5

I would guess a damaged shift fork. Seems like the slider can move around, depending on how you engage the gear, which would suggest the fork problem.

    STUMPED

The aftermarkets may not have been calibrated properly for your application. Are you still running the stock injectors? If so, find a stock meter and try it out. As for the vacuum problem, all I can say is keep looking until you are satisfied. They are a pain to find.

    STUMPED

Vacuum leak  That sounds quite strange. It says you have tried 2 meters. Was one of them a stock meter? Also, have you thought of bypassing that aurora ign, to see if it is having some troubles?

Calling all 5.0 experts. Need some help.

For some reason I can't remember what a PO is. Anyway, here is how I set my idle. Start the car, then unplug the IAB. Turn the idle set screw until the car will idle around 7-800rpm's with the engine at operating temps. Reset the TPS. Around .94-.98V Does not need to be exact. Turn off the...

Having issues with the car, can't figure it out. please help.

I have a code reader, and am happy I got it. It stays with the truck at all times. Very helpful tool. The cap and rotor thing I never thought about. Try the new o2 sensors, and let me know how things go. Also, I have noticed this with my truck, the car may pull close to the same, but you are...

Need help - my tach goes up and down at highway speeds - why?

There are no sensors that are connected to the tach on the throttle body. There is a signal wire that runs from the coil. That, at least, is how mine is hooked up. So I doubt it has anything to do with the throttle body.

Having issues with the car, can't figure it out. please help.

Yeah, this does sound like a vacuum leak. How are you looking for the leak? Are you spraying carb cleaner or starting fluid around vacuum lines? I'm not sure what the problem is. Hopefully someone else will step in and help as well.

Calling all 5.0 experts. Need some help.

As long as the o2 sensors are at operating temp there should be no reading problems. I don't think you have ambiant air reverting into you exhaust. How are you setting your idle? Also, if the BAP is bad, it may change how the idle is set by the computer. It is not adjusting for any altitude...

Need help - my tach goes up and down at highway speeds - why?

Then the gauge must be going bad. If the engine is not changing, and the torque converter does not lock, then the only thing left is the coil or the gauge. And if the coil was bad, the engine would not run. So, bad factory gauge, no surprise.
