    I disagree about taking the insulation out then leaving the funny tar-like stuff... That stuff is worth about 25 LB in a notch, and MORE in a hatch car because it covers the whole rear hatch area.. get a heat gun and get that stuff outta there!! And it took us about 6 hours from front of the car...

    Motor still runs good... has 38 PSI oil press @ idle when fully hot... [195*] but.. I think this motors about had enough.... :( and probably could use a rebuild. [it was nitroused like crazy in 2002 season]. it makes some mechanical sounds if you havent run it for a few weeks then fire it up...

    Check your harmomic balancer asap. If the rubber is all cracked, and coming out the sides, it's junk. Unplug the coil wire and have a buddy crank the motor over and look to see if it wobbles...     Here's a few things to maybe think about. If the car is supercharged I ASSume it has 1 step colder plugs? Put some stock heat range plugs in, stock timing, and a 195* T Stat. Before you go to the E Test, bag on the car a cause it will heat the convertors up a bit.. I usually let mine idle...

    Wait till the dyno tune and see... my guess is still ign, unless the people that installed the fuel pump mucked up somehow or cranked up your fuel pressure without telling you?? I can not see how going to a little extra needed fuel [it was lean on the dyno...] suddenly makes the car bog out...

    IMO, I can't see the pump making that big a diff with the same injectors and stuff.. you had a lean condition under boost before, and that [255 pump] should have fixed it.. and at part throttle its not gonna throw everything THAT outta whack unless you cranked up fuel pressure 10 PSI same time...
