351 time?? need some advice guys..

OK quick question guys, how hard is it to take out a broken head stud threaded into the block? any good machine shop should be able to get it out easy?? that's the only thing wrong with the block I just picked up last night.. $300USD, hasn't been bored over, and the main caps look huge...

hey, why would rpm's matter? good question, at torque peak where the motor is most efficient you want to give it a bit more fuel, say 12.8:1 A/F ratio.. moving away from the torque peak in both directions (to 0rpm's and to 6500rpm's) you can lean it out in almost an inverse proportion to the...

cool good to know so my fuel curve is a lot leaner now around 13.0 -13.2 all across the board..

OK, here's my 2 cents, I wouldn't want you to deviate from your stock MAF transfer unless you had to, but since you don't have yours you've tried to make it as close as possible.. since you're likely off a few % points at each MAF point that's why your KAMRF's are all over the place.. What...

thanks.. yeah the rpm2 is not for the low-end (though it does do a good job!).. I think I can get more I need to get a timing gun on my car because in my tweecer spark tables I'm setting 36* total timing at 2500+.. (spout in, base 10*).. plus with the ACT > 80* it was pulling timing...

old style, and yes I gave Ed the flow sheet, avg flow on the heads is better than a Trickflow TW head.. My torque is a bit soft down low I blame the ED2 intake for that because I know if I had a cobra type intake my low-end torque would be killer.. but I have 3.73's for that.. :) wow...

thanks man.. I love the rpm2 and it'll grow with the car as it makes more power.. the printed graphs don't have torque on them we were more concerned with a/f since it was 11:1 at 6000rpm's first pull.. I have the floppy disk I'll pull the graphs from them later today and post... How I...

351 time?? need some advice guys..

Thanks a lot for the info.. I went and checked out a 351 roller block, it looks really good, barely any rust (not that it matters) hasn't been bored over, main caps look huge compared to 302 caps??? (2 bolt still).. I can't seem to find F4TE on the block but I've found 351 stamped in it...

Just wanted to post my #'s, made 290 at the wheels last night at our local dyno.. I had a great time, especially tuning the car.. Was able to form the A/F curve to exactly how I would have wanted it, around 12.6:1 at torque peak leaning out from there.. power was strong to 6300 where it made...

guys with FMS AL Driveshaft + mad torque come in :)

yeah, that and I raised my rear up 1/2 inch ( I have adjustable coil-overs ) I think the height adjustment alone was enough but so I didn't have to worry about it I put on the pinion snubber as well... good luck..

hmm... I've been reading a lot about building a solid roller 351.. could rev to 7000 easily.. BUT, I have mixed reviews about something, do you still need to adjust your valve lash or not?? awesome list !! thanks for the links.. yeah, since I need a new balancer / flywheel, the list...
