    map sensor????

There should be vacuum lines on the firewall, driver's side of it. "T" off one of the lines there for the MAP sensor. The hole in the lower intake with the "black thing" (grommet) is for your PCV valve.

    What year Mark VIII Fan?

I'm stingy, what can I say? ;) Good luck with the swap. Going with electric fans really gives you more room to work under there. :)

    comp cams roller camshafts

I have the XE270HR-14 cam in mine. It's only been about 2 weeks since the motor went in, and the car was running slower times than the old motor, but the idle sure does sound mean! (sorry, if I don't laugh about it, I'm gonna go nuts lol)

    A9S ECM?

Granted the car is about 3800 pounds, but you're right I shouldn't be that damn slow. lol I've been working on the timing/fuel pressure thing and found a coupla vacuum lines that were disconnected. Car seems to be running much stronger now, so we'll see. Don't wanna turn this into an NYC...

    A9S ECM?

Hmm...that's weird then. :stick: BTW, while I got ya here...got any times for your set-up? I've got pretty much the same thing, except for Thumper's heads and the 114lsa version of that cam, and the damn thing is slower than the old motor. :nonono: lol Thanks for the help, man. Much...

    A9S ECM?

After reading through this site, trying to find some better info on the ECM I'm running, I see that's it's for a California mass air car. What did the California cars get (or not get) that make it different? And is this ECM the reason why I can't use the "engine" light to get codes? :shrug...

    AFTERMARKET autometer fuel gauge!!! WTF!

Try cleaning the sending unit contacts - but that entails dropping the tank a bit to get at it. What up, hamma!!

    Why is it so slow?

Heh...one problem with that. I get no "engine" light for me to check. I already tried. Swapped bulbs and everything. I'm gonna bring it to a friend's shop and put it on his scanner and see what it says. :nice:

    Why is it so slow?

I've got a short throw shifter in there now. It's a B&M Ripper that I got with the rest of the 5 speed swap stuff. I also have a modified Pro 5.0 handle that's a LOT shorter than the previous handle. See in these cars, when you use a Fox body T-5, it's so short, that you'll bash your hand...

Quick help with Gauge install wiring

Yup. You want it hooked to something that gets power only when the ignition is in the "run" position. This might help (or not lol): http://hp.autometer.com/instruction_download/instruction_download.html

    Why is it so slow?

The ECM is an A9S from an 89 (or 88, I forget) 5 speed Mustang. As far as getting better as I went along, I was beating the hell out of the car on every run, and to run the same (and worse) times than that tired 170k motor that was in there just doesn't seem right to me. The plug gap idea...

    Why is it so slow?

After the 5 speed swap, the car lost a good few hundred pounds. I think it weighed in at 3796 or so back in March, with like a half tank of gas and me in it (175 pounds). As far as the runs, the last two I didn't miss any shifts. lol The rear suspension, is stilll riding on air bags, with...

    Why is it so slow?

This was on regular street tires. I have a set of Hoosiers (I think they're like dirt track tires or something) that I've used with the old motor and got a 2.147 out of them. That's only a .001 difference. There was no way to launch the car hard with those street tires. I eased out of the hole a...

    Why is it so slow?

Hey guys, long time, no post. I figured you guys here would be more of a help trying to tune a 5.0 than the Lincoln sites I go to. Anyways, I went to the track last night and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed in the car's performance and the times I got. Granted, the timing...
