    2000 GT Random Power Loss

Any aftermarket (non ford) sensors? Cam/Crank etc? Are they excessively dirty? What you describe sounds ignition related as well - might start with the obvious of grounds for the injector and COP harnesses. Plugs in good shape? Any of them extra dirty compared to the rest?

    Buying with a bad motor?

IF - big IF - if it's clean body, interior, etc wise. No rust, signs of a wreck etc. Negotiate the price to account for needing a motor and go for it. I've bought plenty that needed engines but accounted for that in the price. Take whatever you think you'll spend on the motor and double it...

I've had MOST panels on my mach resprayed due to rock chips or raccoons being kamikaze's. 103k miles over 23 years and tons of track/road track etc events take a toll. That being said, just took ANOTHER rock a week ago going to get an alignment on the freshly painted front. Grrr..... Oh and...

    Classic Car Insurance

State farm agreed value - before Hagerty is taking over this year stated occasional driving with no location restrictions was ok but never gave me a total mileage number. Just that they'd request pics of odometer periodically and determine then if we were driving too much.

Wonder what they think of the occasional test and tune. :)

    Classic Car Insurance

Yep, we also have 2025 RZR PRO XP4 (turbo) and daughters 2003 Ram 1500. Then the homeowners etc etc. I spend as much on insurance a month as our first house payment cost us 20 years ago. (you know how I know I'm getting old? haha).

    Classic Car Insurance

I have State Farm classic/agreed value ($17,000) on my 03 Mach 1. $9.09 a month. It's transferred to Haggerty now, but the price only went up like $1 a month or something. Super cheap. Now State Farm gets me for STUPID money on our 2026 Ram 2500 (Gas) and the 24 4Runner. Plus having a 16...

The metal is cast and not the best quality and over time tends to develop micro cracks that seep slowly. I changed a gasket on an aviator swap 96 cobra about 3 times before I realized it was not coming from the sealing surface but the casting itself. Slopped on (very nicely I might add haha)...

I meant out of the casting itself, not the gasket sealing surface. Although a gasket leak is very common.

    manual swap

Your tuner should be able to fix any needed items. Going auto to manual you can tune, typically manual to auto its easier/best to pcm swap.

If you've made the swap to return now, what is your current setup? Double/triple hat?

Those housings have also been known to "weep" fluids out of them as a FYI.

    4v cobra exhaust compatibility

Look up adae305exhaust. My longtube midpipe came from there. It looks sketchy but I paid, it shipped, and it's decent quality. It's sitting in my shed for when I get unlazy and want to do long tubes (Plus I'm running a prochamber and LOVE the sound). They had mid's for shorties and long...

Progress Thread The Mach Returns - Update/build thread

About 11 years ago Iet this beauty go and regretted it. We just had our youngest and my company I worked for sold for the 4th time. Jan 9 was her birth date and we had new - TERRIBLE - insurance. We got a 12k bill for that and well given the uncertainty and huge bill - it was obvious this...

    Tuners come on inside

Updating thread since most of the "help" threads on the interwebs have zero follow up. Tuner sent a second revision. This time essentially changing the max/min parameters (much like they would on a long tube car) to make the switching codes not so sensitive. First test drive has no issues...

    4v cobra exhaust compatibility

Yes, they all should fit each other. Look for used stuff as there are only a few small shops still making decent off road pipes. (some google searches can find them - I sourced a nice off road H for long tubes from a sketchy looking place a while back haha). Edit for clarification - midpipes...

    2003 gt, clutch pedal stiffness.

How old is the cable. If it's old and heating up/stretching it's time for a new. There should be minimal difference between cold and operating temp feel. (yes it'll heat naturally but not enough tot take it out of adjustment)
