    New to the New Breed

I went with CORSA and would ordinarily be quite happy with them - easy to fit, quality items (heavier than stock though) with zero drone and not a bad blare on WOT. However, I have to counter that praise by saying I have a supercharger on mine so WOT is often not an option so for me, much of...

    Tire/Rim purchasing - questions

Why risk the guesswork? Just ring them up and ask for rims suitable for the 2005 GT Mustang. I suspect that they have some specific rims for it because if they don't they're probably unique. The stock wheels on the Mustang GT are 17 x 8. Most people usually take the opportunity to go wider when...

Torque setting for rear control arms.

I've just fitted a set of Tokico D-Spec shocks and stryuts with Roush springs and Metco billet rear control arms. It may be paranoid but I now hear a slight squeaking that seems to come from the rear passenger side. It's nothing massive and the stereo even on low volume makes in inaudible but...

To those 'Stang owners with CORSA exhaust

I refer you back to Page 1 of this thread. I weighed them up too. Stock mufflers are about 16lbs a side and the Corsas about 20lb a side. Smaller but heavier.

    Raptor Light Install

    Haven't had any problems.

To those 'Stang owners with CORSA exhaust

Well mine are coming off and being placed aside for now. The reason is that they're too quiet. Having a supercharged car, it means that WOT is not often on the menu with all the traffic we get here in the UK so the blare on WOT is a rare occurence. As a result, I'm getting a stainless steel...

    Basic Supercharger Questions

Shouldn't be a problem although I find that 1st lasts about half a second and it's over. I start more often in 2nd.

    Basic Supercharger Questions

    1. No. The supercharger should come with a tuner to retune the car. I have a Vortech 462bhp kit and I use mine pretty much daily. Like anything, if you over-abuse it, you run the risk of breaking it like you would with the stock one. 2. Forged internals are strengthened internals so they...

    Weld Draglites??? Anybody

I bought some Weld wheels (not Draglites) specifically advertised as being for a 2005 Mustang and they er...didn't fit, locking on the rear calipers. Weld are currently trying to rectify the error, making up some spacers for the rears which may or may not be acceptable. The problem was the curve...

To those 'Stang owners with CORSA exhaust

I bent the front hanger down slightly as I had the same. Loosening the rear bracket a little and pulling that down also helps get it right.

    BMR

Supposed to be as stiff as a Fox with a roll cage according to one article I read.

Clear Turn Signal Covers Installed (Windveil Blue car)

I'll be looking for some real soon. Nice job.

    Necessary mods?

The springs are way too soft. The car lifts and dips like a speedboat and that may be good for weight transfer but it's terrible for brake fade. One mod I wasn't expecting great things of is the Hurst manual shifter because the stock stubby shifter on the 5 speed is pretty good and I'd been...

    UPR Billet Foglight Surrounds

Hi, I'm in the UK and have just received some billet foglight rims from UPR Products. Typically, they've arrived without the 3M adhesive they promise on their site so I'm stuck with a pair of billet hooplas and the "easy to install" hype just became "impossible to install". I've tried both...

    UPR e-mail address?

UPR Foglight Rings Hi, I'm in the UK and have just received some billet foglight rims from UPR Products. Since no order I ever make anywhere is ever right, they've arrived without the 3M adhesive they promise on their site so I'm stuck with a pair of billet hooplas. I've tried both e-mail...

No, it's the X-pipe you cut in after the stock cats. Think on balance it might have been better to get the MAC X-pipe with the freeflow cats to get the noise I'm now hankeriung after.

To those 'Stang owners with CORSA exhaust

Got the Corsas on mine. Not as loud as I imagined they'd be , especially at idle but they wake up at WOT and positively blare. I think I'd like it louder but you always want what you haven't got. Got a Corsa X-pipe but haven't fitted it yet as it's a pipe-cutting installation. Absolutely no...

To those 'Stang owners with CORSA exhaust

Got Corsas on mine. Initially I was a little disappointed at the apparent lack of any noticable increase in volume at idle. Sure, it was louder but no big deal. I took it for a blast the other day and I have to say that two things strike you: 1. It positively blares on WOT which is good 2...

    Strut Tower Brace?

The 2005 is supposed to be as rigid as a 2004 with a cage. I have a Steeda STB (the one with the stupid rose-jointed ends) and can't detect a difference. When I fitted a STB to my '98 Camaro, you could tell instantly.

    shocks and struts?

I have ordered Tokico D Spec shocks but haven't got round to fitting them yet. They use them on the Steeda Screaming Q cars which got good write-ups and on at least one of the Vortech cars I believe. These are adjustable. Other options are Roush and Saleen.
