shocks and struts?

I just ordered the Eibach Pro Kit for my 06 GT and I have heard that I should also get struts and shocks. I dont know very much about susspension, so can you guys tell me what new struts and shocks will do and if I realy should get them? Will they make my car handle a lot better? And which ones are the best?

I have ordered Tokico D Spec shocks but haven't got round to fitting them yet. They use them on the Steeda Screaming Q cars which got good write-ups and on at least one of the Vortech cars I believe. These are adjustable.

Other options are Roush and Saleen.
