    Make sure you have a pre 65 bell housing or your 64 1/2 289 wont bolt up. (the earlier 289's are 5 bolt and the 67s are 6 bolt). Also the the 64.5 small block v8 was 260 cid not 289, so if your using the stock crank and rods it will be smaller than you anticipate. I would suggest finding a 6...

    Take your factory lines to an autoparts store and have them cut them to length and put the correct fitting for the borgeson box on the other end so you keep the end you need to thread onto the factory p/s pump. the other line is the return line and it just hooks on the pump with a hose clamp...

    I have the exact problem as you. T5 conversion, power brakes and my booster doesnt let the brake pedal come all the way out with the clutch pedal either. lemme know if you find anything out.

Mine was a factory P/S car, and the power valve sucks, lots of play and i dont want to pay 150 for the little ps-ms converter piece. I think i'm going to buy some used manual steering...

    yeah the welder i talked to said the weld would never break, but the casting around the weld would be really weakened, but i will still talk to the other guy here and town and see what he thinks. Hey how does your car run with the 347, t5 and 4.10s?? i bet it screams. ill get some more...

    thanks for the responses and ideas. Yeah I believe the isuzu box is the one borgeson uses. it looks just like the pictures i have seen. I will check with ABS on getting it machined, and check with another welder here in town to see what he says on joining the two. westmus yours is done...

    ok thanks guys. Thats what i was looking for. does the fox booster bolt up pretty easy? ill have to look into that. And if you other guys have done the swap with a newer 4 wheel disk master cylinder, will it bolt right into the 67 booster??

    So the MC does not have to be non-ABS? - for example I could use the ABS setup from a newer explorer and have no issues? And thats what I was wondering about the power booster, Is there any models or years that slip right into the earlier stangs that anybody knows of?
