Paint and Body About To Get The Gt Freshened Up A Little (now With Some Pics)

Thanks...it's still the original color, Sonic Blue. Or as my girlfriend calls it, "Blurple."

    Quick Help ! Exterior Color

It almost seems like it might even be that Guard Green from '15 and '16. That color seems to shift between gray and an army/camo-type green depending on the lighting. Neat color, IMO.

Paint and Body About To Get The Gt Freshened Up A Little (now With Some Pics)

Now in color! All that is left to do is put everything back together. All the other pieces are painted; they're going to be working on reassembly in the next few days.

    Lug Nuts

Does anybody have some recommendations for some good, solid, single-piece lug nuts? I have the factory "chrome" ones from Ford for my '03 GTs polished wheels. I'm getting tired of replacing these lug nuts when the chrome-plated plastic cap cracks and pops off...does anyone make a durable lug nut...

    King Cobra Movie Sighting

Ah, interesting theory for sure! :nice: It occurred to me after the fact that perhaps the car is just Grabber Blue. Also, perhaps the blue on the car could be the same as the blue-skinned Kree aliens, though I don't know what the correlation there would be.

    King Cobra Movie Sighting

I just saw the new Guardians of the Galaxy 2 movie today and it was a decent flick if you're into that sort of movie. I was pleasantly surprised to see the opening minute or two focusing on a country road set in 1980, and there was a baby blue t-top King Cobra winding down said road (Kurt...

    Detailing Guide

I'm now considering switching up my previous detailing game, which wasn't nearly as much as some of you folks here. Impressive looking stuff. With my GT about to have new paint, I'm really gonna step things up and I want to keep it clean and protected as much as possible. But I live in a...

Paint and Body About To Get The Gt Freshened Up A Little (now With Some Pics)

Not that I'm aware of. They said they'd cover it under their lifetime ownership guarantee. So since they painted it in 2009 and I still own it...shouldn't cost me anything.

Paint and Body About To Get The Gt Freshened Up A Little (now With Some Pics)

Lookin' good! That's crazy that the clear didn't adhere to the paint...holy cow. I certainly wouldn't be happy. The shop that's doing mine said that back when they last painted in (2009), they were using another paint vendor. I can't remember the name but the shop owner also said that it was...

    2003 Ford Mustang

Yeah, get a code reader (or go to AutoZone) and get the code for yourself. I wouldn't go back to Firestone, especially if they're not diagnosing the problem correctly. If they're just throwing new O2 sensors on when the light could very well be something else unrelated, I wouldn't trust them...

Paint and Body About To Get The Gt Freshened Up A Little (now With Some Pics)

Swung by the shop on my lunch break and actually got to see it... Looks like they've already taken care of the dent on the passenger quarter and they said there were a couple other dings on the driver's side that they've taken care of. It should be going into paint late this week.

    Help Me Find This Hood

Yes, it's nothing more than a stick-on (maybe a couple bolts drilled through the hood?) scoop that's added to the factory hood. The V6 and GT hoods are identical for those years.

    Help Me Find This Hood

It looks like it's just the stock hood with the optional factory hood scoop. You'll probably see this thread get moved into the appropriate subforum too...

    Help Please

@Dylan Cole AutoZone is showing their cheapie brand, ValuCraft, for $114.99. They also have a DuraLast for $158.99. The DuraLast has a lifetime warranty...the ValuCraft is only a year. If you're in a pinch, one of those will at least get you back on the road.

"Battery" light: Does the ammeter gauge still read slightly past midway towards the High end of the gauge? Stop in at an auto parts store; they should be able to check your charging system for free. Shaking: The shaking you describe could be indicative of bad brake rotors.

    Help Please

Where do you feel the shaking? Is it in the steering wheel? Or just all over? Does it occur while applying the brakes? It could just be as simple as needing the wheels balanced. As far as the "battery light"...not sure why it happened, but something in the charging system is probably off. How...
