Is whats face, Paul whatevver, gonna be in it? You think it might have something to do with that new movie he is coming out in where he drives an early model stang?

can your audi system affect engine performance?

Holy crap I just noticed I wrote Audi system in the title. My bad. Any way I can get a 100 amp alternator. Will this be enough? What battery specs would you guys suggest? Right now I have a 200W stereo along with a kenwood Amp that I have no idea how many watts puts out. I have a 12"...

can your audi system affect engine performance?

Currently my electrical sytem is completely stock except for The petronix module. Stock battery, stock alternator, everthing right. Is it concievable that I install a pretty hot audio system that it could take away performance from an electrical standpoint. I ask this because after installing a...

    73 Mustang wont start...

Hold up, you say you can jump start her going direct from the battery to starter? Sounds to me like you might just have a bad selenoid. It costs about 10 bucks at autozone.

Stupid thing I discovered about getting my car painted- tell me if Im crazy-

i say take it to an on the side guy who you know does good work and have seen his work personally. The first time i painted the '73 i took it to this guy who said he knew what he was doing. he charged me $850. After a few months some areas looked very faded, bubbled and it chipped relatively...

    Classic or Recreational Auto insurance....

shoot 400 bucks a year is not bad for full coverage on a classic IMHO. Just liability on my truck runs me about 700/6months with Progressive. I have no claims and no record. I cant wait to see what i can find.

    Classic or Recreational Auto insurance....

Now that the '73 is streetable I am thinking of not using it as my daily driver anymore and keep for for when I just want to have some fun. What kind of insurance is available. Do any of you have a similiar insurance policy? Are there restrictions? I did a search online but most companies...

    exhaust leak help!

Are you sure you didnt warp the headers in the process? This will cause you to start off with a minor virtually undetectable leak and allows for the gasket to burn up.

Do all headers require a power steering drop bracket?

Well we didnt need the bracket after all. On the jegs website it doesnt specify which cars dont need the bracket. It just says that some do need it. Once you actually get the headers it tells you on the instructions which cars dont need the bracket. Oh yea i went ahead and got Dynomax...

Do all headers require a power steering drop bracket?

I am going to get a set of headers for my '73. I have seen Hooker, Flowtech and Hedman. Flowtech and Hooker require a power steering bracket for clearance as listed on Jegs and Year one. However Hedmans Hedders on jegs does not say anything about a bracket when you click on the details. So will...

    Powerdyne supercharger on a 66' 347ci

Paxton makes a centrifugal supercharcher for carb setup. I believe its the NOVI 1200. I beleive it was originally designed to work with the holley Double Pumper but works with Demon applications as well. Its supposed to work with stock and modified engines.

    Swapping Heads

I agree with D.hearn. If you can get the entire thing, just have it rebulit if you want and pop into your project. It shouldnt be too difficult than what you are already doing. As far as the rods go, can he use rods from a HO 5.0? I think someone said they had forged internals. To agree...

    289 mini boss?

Too agree with the other two posts, the idea is outdated. Alot of work has to go into making 351 cleveland heads work on on a small windsor. Not only that but it just wasnt the intake and heads that made it a Boss engine. The internals were different too. Id rather build or see a well...

    Swapping Heads

I believe they are. i remember someone saying that you can get the GT-40 heads off cobras and explorers but dont take my word for it. As far as putting GT-40 heads on, yes you can. I beleive though that you need different pushrods if you are going to use your stock block. When I put E7's on my...

    Heater core replacement Questions

Well i am not sure as how its done in a '66 but it was a real pain to do in my '73. I used one of those how to books on classic stangs. It was totally wrong. Basically I had to figure it out myself. Someone told me I was going to have to disassemble my dash but I didnt. First i took off the...

How to use Jeg's overflow tank?

I am interested in this thread as well. Hope to get some good info cause I have some similiar questions.

Simple question: Overflow Tank vs. Resevoir

I hope you get this sorted out. You need to be real careful about head gaskets. After a while it is going to give out and boom. Water gets in, the piston seizes and shoots out the rod either through the block or the oil pan. In my casei t was the oil pan. It made a 2 and half inch whole where a...

    302 head work

Maybe you can find some GT40 heads somewhere and get them worked. I beleive you can get them off some late model 5.0's and Explorers. Dont be fooled by GT40P heads though. I here they are troublesome.
