    D&D Performance T-45 transmission

You can't beef it up much. Unless it's rebuilt, it's stock. TKO 500/600 are your only options, besides going auto. T56 too expensive :notnice:

ohhh..i messed up my trans...please help

You won't find many shops that will just do one little thing like synchros. They all seem to want to charge you 600+. A rebuild usually means replacing worn items. You might get away with it but you see they still have to take it apart and see what broke, that alone is alot of labor already...

What tools are needed for T-45 disassembly?

Anyone? I'm getting one that's stuck in reverse. Going to do my own repair.. I've heard the tools would cost so much it's not worth it. How deep would I need to go into the tranny?

Anyone interested in buying the latest kit to fix tr3650's shifting concern?

Dude that **** is too expensive. It'd be better to get a rebuilt one that doesn't have problems. You still have to pay someone to do the install on those parts, and that's the cost of a rebuild. So you'd end up spending 1200 at least. Why not upgrade to a TKO and be able to handle more HP.

ohhh..i messed up my trans...please help

Rebuild yourself or get a used one, should find one for 650 or so used. Or try this one: only 350 with few miles on it. Best deal I've seen. http://classifieds.stangnet.com/showproduct.php?product=8294&sort=1&cat=6&page=1

any guesses on how install costs?

Are you in Cali or something? No such thing as costing more for performance work, LABOR IS LABOR. labor should be around 65-75 dollars, maybe less depending on where you live. Depending on the shop, might cost around 800 at the most. You can find as cheap as 500. Hell do it yourself and...

    best trans fluid for t45

Uh the drain is at bottom passenger side of the tranny, it's horizontal. You fill it up to the drain plug right above it (same place fluid is put in). Very easy... What do you need a dipstick for anyways? Not like the fluid is going to disappear.

For those of you who have done the Jerry mod

Transgo is better, comes with the video! :nice: Get the most expensive ring pliers you can find at the autoparts store. I bought a cheapy and boy it took me hours til i gave up and bought an expensive one, got it off in a second.

    Transmission Fluid

An aftermarket shifter helps, unless you have one already. As for the oil  Any good synthetic might help.

    Trans swap

stangparts.com has everything to convert over for around 1800 or so. It should take a few days to do once you have everything on hand. It's suppose to be straight forward, but who knows til you try. Someone here's done it and I'm sure they'll chime in. Best way is to find someone that's...

Some minor problems - looking for advice

Chirp probably due to the power steering leaking. The rear squeak is quite normal, I wouldn't worry about it. Windows you can use silicone grease I think? I have an 01 with 53k miles, not a single problem. :nice: Oh rear squeak could be your spring isolators wearing out and there is now...

why am I getting horrible gas mileage?

I get around 280 miles to the tank, and I have an auto. Manuals do a bit better. When I had a 98 cobra I was getting 300 or so. Granted it's mostly highway driving. I have a light foot as you can tell..

why am I getting horrible gas mileage?

Bad O2 sensors (car might be running rich) Do a complete tuneup and see if it improves. And lastly, don't drive like a maniac. Is it mostly highway or mix or mostly city? If it's all city I can see possibly getting that much mileage, but not likely.

    4.6 2V Oil Requirements

I always use 10w30. Auto makers have their reasons to use 5w20 (better fuel mileage). It does not protect as well as 30 weight.

    Auto Transmission Problems? '00 GT

A basic drain would only get rid of a few quarts. Might as well drain the torque convertor too while you're at it..
