    Aluminum Flywheel and Driveshaft HP

I can't see many people launching at 5K or more in a Gt. Maybe in a heavily modded Cobra. Sounds like a worthwhile mod. Thanks for the tech. Jon

    Supercharger Dyno Graph Comparison

For you supercharger guys, will somebody see more boost if they open up the exhaust? I know you can get more boost if you open the intake, right? Jon

18x8 Rim, Any Setbacks? What Tire Size?

Check with www.tirerack.com about sizing issues. They are the most knowledgeable. I believe you can go up to a 265 or 275. Jon

    Aluminum Flywheel and Driveshaft HP

Is anybody seeing a hp increase on the dyno and down the quarter with aluminum DS and flywheel? I have heard on other car forums that some people see a very noticeable increase on the dyno from switching to aluminum flywheels, and wondered if anybody has tested this on a Mustang. I understand...

    Supercharger Dyno Graph Comparison

It was actually your dyno graphs that got me interested in this topic. PSI would help too, as well as other mods. I know that is in your sig, but are you really running the full 9psi? Jon

    Supercharger Dyno Graph Comparison

After looking at some dynos for roots and twin screw, I wanted to compare them to a centrifugal (Vortech, Paxton) dyno. Anybody that has boosted their car, please post your mods and dyno graphs here. I am specifically looking for the graphs so I can analyze powerband and torque curves. Thanks...

    Back Pressure, Good or Bad???

I have some great links to exhaust if anybody wants them. It discusses the finer techinical points of header selection and exhaust theory in general. I think most people would be surprised at the idea that maximum hp comes from the least restrictive exhaust. Jon

Need New Brake Pads. Curious As To Which Brand You Think I Should Go With.

NasaGT--you check your PMs. Bullittplaya--what is wrong with asking about brake pads? Jon

18x8 Rim, Any Setbacks? What Tire Size?

They will look the same as stock, from the back. That is what you are forgetting. If you like the stock width, then keep it. No worries. Most of us here want to get more rubber under the car if we are buying rims. Jon

I am curious about this issue too. I was leaning towards EBC. Jon

mac h pipe with flowmaster or mac h pipe with magnaflow mufflers

I'm not trying to pick a fight GNN, but you say that a product will stay on the market if it performs. Due to the extremely long availability of Flowmasters, are you saying they perform? Jon

18x8 Rim, Any Setbacks? What Tire Size?

Nah, it won't look bad. It just won't look as good as it could. Get them if you like them, don't listen to a bunch of jaded Mustang disciples. Jon

mac h pipe with flowmaster or mac h pipe with magnaflow mufflers

Yeah, Flows are more popular, so I suppose the term "played out" would be more appropriate for them. On the other hand, what I meant was that the trend is played out; Magnaflows have proven to be the hot topic of the month, and I never liked the sound. Jon

18x8 Rim, Any Setbacks? What Tire Size?

The 8" is stock width--you'll want to stick with a 245 size tire. The disadvantage will be that you have the same size contact patch with a much shorter sidewall--rough ride. You will see a sharper turn in, but same handling limits. Your ride will be much rougher, and the wheels just won't...
