Need some recommendations for finishing my combo

Well, it looks like the 40+ bottles of nitrous I've used has finally taken its toll on my head gaskets. As I have exhaust gases present in the coolant. So since they are coming off, I need some recommendations on what I should put back on in place of the stock stuff. I'd like to keep the stock...

    AOD to T-5 questions

I have the Centerforce Dual Friction in my 65 coupe right now. And while it has awesome clamping ability, its slipping ability sucks. It's too tight. Slipping the clutch is near impossible. It's either engaged or disengaged. Right now I'm leaning towards a King Cobra clutch with an aluminum...

    Sub-frame connectors

They fit great on my car. Bolted them down the seat pan's first and they fit perfectly flush against the subframes. So i welded them up and repainted them. No problems. On a side note my car was 100% stock when I bought it and was owned by an old guy that only put 50K miles on it driving the...

    Sub-frame connectors

I put the $49.99 Blue Oval Industries subs on mine about a year ago. Fit great and definitely tightened up the car. I put mine on at work with the car sitting on an alignment rack.

    cold air intake fitment

I'm running the C&L 76mm MAF sensor with their Tru-Flow intake tube on mine. No problems with fitment or driveability with the stock airbox(flat panel K&N, no silencer).

    Ideal timing on stock 5.0

Mine doesn't seem to run any different with anything above 10. So I leave it there and run 91 octane for the Naaaaaaaawz!:nice:

Why would anybony drill and tap a hole

Most Nitrous nozzles are 1/8" NPT. How about a boost reference port for a gauge?

    AOD to T-5 questions

I'm starting to gather parts for the swap in my daily driven 89 LX. So far I have an FMS Super Duty T-5 transmission and a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter. What does everyone recommend for a clutch setup, a flywheel(aluminum or steel), a scattershield, and a cable and quadrant? Mods are in sig.

Stock 89 Auto wont burn out is that normal?

Not spinning the tires is a good thing. Mine has 3.73's, aftermarket LCA's and UCA's, some bolt-ons, and 275's. And it won't spin em. It just hooks and goes. At least until I hit the squeeze. Then it's 40mph burnouts FTW!:nice:

Dry nitrous users please step inside

I tried the 125 HP jets with the stock pump. And it seemed to run fine at that level too. But after I installed the 255 lph Walbro, it was a whole different animal. The stock pump was obviously starving the motor for fuel. Probably even at the 100 HP level. If I were you, I'd just bite the...

Dry nitrous users please step inside

Thank's for the reply. But this thread is kinda old now. I have since upgraded my pump to a 255 lph Walbro and have stepped up to the 125 HP jets. The only problem I have now is traction.:nice:

    Bottle Warmer + Cigarette Lighter

Since my bottle is mounted(not really mounted, just sits there with a blanket holding the top up - I know not safest idea) right behind the passenger seat for ease of removal and access. I'd like to put a cigarette lighter plug on my bottle heater so I can remove the whole heater/harness...

A bottle heater and a window switch are not necessary, but definitely recommended.

At this point, I'm pretty happy with the performance it has at the 125 HP setting. So I'm going to stick with that and concentrate on other mods. Such as replacing my AOD with a T-5. As for the dry versus wet debate, I feel a dry system is much safer for a stock engine than a wet. The stock...

Think you like the 75 shot!?! Wait till you try the 125. I ran mine with the 125 HP jets for the first time today. 40 mph rolling burnouts FTW!:D

Aside from MAC, does anyone make a true bolt on 3" cat back?

How about using a 2 1/2" mid-pipe with a 3" after-cat on a reasonably stock motor? I'd like to go with a 3" after-cat mostly for aesthetics and a little more growl. To the original poster, sorry for the hi-jack. :SNSign:

My stock fuel pump wasn't able to keep up past a 75 shot. My advise would be to spend the extra $100 and get a 255 lph Walbro. It took me less time to replace the pump than it did to install the nitrous system. :flag:

So in my current configuration you're recommending I stay in the 125-150 HP range?
