    Scarebird?

If they fit properly, we will have a couple late next week.

H.E.I Distributor on a ford, who's got em?

One thing we do in the Pontiac camp is to take a points-type distributor and convert it to HEI. Several people do this quite well- Dave's Small Body conversions is one. Nice adantage is it gets the coil out of the cap.

    Scarebird?

Hi guys, John hit it right on the head- the way the 68-93 calipers mount is not condusive in any way to a easy mount. The inner pad is held by a pair of ears on the mounting bracket- something that would be quite difficult to replicate with laser-cut steel. When we went to SEMA last year...

    Pull A Part in Everett

There were actually 2 in the north end, one in Everett and one in Lynnwood. The Everett one closed Spring 05 to make way for a Super WalMart  . The Lynnwood one is still going good, as is the Tacome one, which borders the north edge of McChord AFB.

price check on granada disc stuff

According to my factory parts guide, they are refered to as "shield, splash" which makes sense to me. Most are 22 gauge steel or lighter, and will crumple pretty easy from a decent sized rock. Many high performance cars, such as the 1LE Camaros, did not come with them from the factory. We...

    Budget front disc brake conversion

Also, you can get oversized calipers, they have larger bores; 2-3/4" vs. 2-1/2" for more front bias. I cannot personally recommend them- US Brake makes them, but they seem to be Chinese copys bored out larger. I was not impressed by their stuff at SEMA.

    Budget front disc brake conversion

Hi Carl, did not know you frequented this board. When are you going to shut off the rain?

    Budget front disc brake conversion

Limey, yes they are vented, and 1 inch thick. The 68-73 rotors were a heavier duty version of the 65-67 (and MUCH cheaper!). Bullitt, we had an older design that required you to machine down the drum hub, and it used smaller (10-1/4") rotors. We installed it on a neighbor's 67 5.0 powered...

    Budget front disc brake conversion

The Granada rotors are a no-go; completely different size, they use different bearing (but can be swapped) and they have the wider register hub. GM's B body calipers are not a good hydraulic match. We found out today that if you change the inner bearing race on the 70-73 rotor, and press in...

    Budget front disc brake conversion

The calipers have a 2-1/2" diameter piston, while the stock 68-73 Mustangs use a 2-3/8" piston. Image courtesy of Rockauto.com

    Budget front disc brake conversion

Yes, we have brackets that use the 79-85 Eldorado calipers (2-1/8" diameter piston). These bolt up to 8 and 9 inch rears with the small bearing.

    Budget front disc brake conversion

We are happy to announce an improved front disc conversion for 64-73 Mustangs, Falcons, Cougars and Mavericks. Our new setup uses either 68-69 Mustang($67 NAPA) or 70-73 Mustang($37 NAPA) rotors and S10 4WD calipers. These rotors of course have the small wheel register hub, so your vintage...

    move over Earl Scheib

Years ago I fixed and sold my buddy's old 73. He had this thing for 15 years, and for ten of it ran around with a yellow fender on a brown car. The buyer contacted me and agreed to a price. I had the car parked on a busy road for sales visibility, and imagine my surprise when I saw the fender...

Finished prototype Mustang disc brake spindles

I am quite impressed of the scope of what Degins is doing- some of you have no clue as to the headaches something like this can bring. We make disc conversion brackets for many applications, and like Degins said, there are issues with the early Mustang spindles, so we limited the rotor size to...
