    best drag radial

Any opinions on the BFG's? I've previously read they are somewhere inbetween the MT's and Nittos for both traction and wear.

HEY! post your 1/4 times & setups

First time at the track since my mods was actually this past weekend.... 13.4 @106.5 mph with a 2.23 60' time. The car needs slicks....bad. See mods in sig.

    i think ill miss it....

Yeap, I had a black 89 SC - I still miss it and that was four years ago now (owned it for three years). They are fun cars.

    some pics

I've always liked your car with the Welds - I was hoping for pics with those :) Oh well - still looks good. However, I gotta ask - why not fix your hood gap, if anything, so the harrasment here stops. It would only take 5 minutes!

Rear Control Arms - adjusting wheel position in well (fwd-aft)

Hey, thanks for the reply. The reason I was confused on this was the description from MM's website: The easy adjustment of MM's Adjustable Control Arms allows raising the rear ride height by up to 2 inches, or lowering it as much as 1 inch. A heavy-duty weight-jack bolt, similar to those...

Rear Control Arms - adjusting wheel position in well (fwd-aft)

I've been reading through posts about different upper/lower control arm setups, but I can't find the answer to this question: "Adjustable" lower control arms adjust the ride height, correct? I was wondering if any company has a control arm that will allow me to center the wheel in the wheel...

Thinking about getting a good dyno tune

$550 is what I just paid for mine. I don't have a blower, but it is an HCI car and I had all the BS that you mentioned and they fixed ALL of it. I posted a thread over the weekend with my results if you are interested. I say go for it!

    Thermactor and EGR Feedback Solinoids

I don't know how to test them, but I'll sell you mine (all 3). PM if interested.

Tune complete and Dyno results inside...

the pony boy - i went in with a bad surging idle that I had tried to trouble shoot. I went through the entire checklist on this site with no luck. For some reason, my air/fuel was a bunch of peaks and valleys between ratios of 10 and 16 down low. The tune worked out all of that. ryan218...

Tune complete and Dyno results inside...

Hey guys - combo is in my sig. I had a tune done Thursday night - the difference is incredible. No more surging idle, no more rough cold starts - driveability increased 10x. If anyone is on the fence about a tune, I'd recommend it. If you're in Northeast Ohio I'd also recommend Akron...

Does anyone still sell Fiore stuff?

I have one that I installed but never used. If you are interested in it, shoot me a PM. What happened for me was I didn't have enough slack in the stock cable to make up for the extra thickness of the Fiore. I had to use a cheap BBK adjuster that was nice and thin. Anyways, PM if interested.

Finally all painted (finished pics, DUW)

FarBeyondDriven - I don't even know what Winks is. If I'll like it, inform me! For reference, I went to the U of Akron for engineering and I now live in North Canton (I need to update the location in my cp). Metalcop - here's the only pic I have of the hood underside:

Finally all painted (finished pics, DUW)

85_SS - When I bought the car, it had the stripes you see on the roof going all the way from bottom of front bumper to bottom of back bumper. I didn't think they looked good b/c they didn't follow the body lines of the car. During my engine bay project, I decided to paint the entire front...

Finally all painted (finished pics, DUW)

Carbed87 - funny you say that b/c I was originally a big stripe (not Strype) hater too. I got a good deal on this car and someone had already painted stripes over the factory single stage red. They were straight and went all the way down the front bumper. After owning the car for a year I...

Finally all painted (finished pics, DUW)

Well, I'll let the pics do the talking this time. All body and paint work was done by me in the garage where it sits. If anyone remembers from a previous post, I also did an HCI and engine bay cleanup this winter too. Tuesday I get it dyno tuned and have lowering springs put on...

347 don't start until I keep thorttle open

I had the exact same problem when I first did my HCI - it turned out that I forgot the ground between the harness and the intake (or head) at the very back of the motor. As they will all say on here, a bad ground will do weird things!

    stud roller rocker adjustment

So you found TDC on #1 and adjusted #6? That's not right. Find TDC for the compression stroke of #1 and then adjust both rockers for #1. Then go a quarter turn, and do both on #3 (and just follow around the firing order). Even with a half turn, they'll still feel loose as you go back around...

Yes it's true..I need another photochop master...

DMAN - I really like your car how it is. If anything, go for some black stripes that will tie in your black rims. I've got a stripe idea I'm going to be trying with mine next week (hood and front bumper are sanded and almost ready for paint). Pics will be coming soon!

    Valve hitting a piston

There's a method for checking P to V clearance with the heads still on the car. Do a search and save yourself a head gasket. I've used the playdoh method, but it was a check during assembly. Did you check clearance before using an F-cam?
