    Need P/N for the vent on the 8.8

    Long story short.. Took a road trip last week with my son and about 2 hours into the trip the rear end started to leak. It did not continue to leak on smaller drives then did it again on the way home (3 hours in)... So I am thinking I need to change the vent out on the rear end (mine is damaged...

    I don't PLAN to drive in the snow but if you drive as many days as you can in CT you eventually hit some snow... Snow tires are not an option as I have a 4wd truck for the white stuff.... Just need a higher mileage wide tire that does not get rock hard on a 10'F day....

    Anyone going to NED for UPR Ford Weekend this weekend?

    By the time we made it up with teh family it was almsot 3:00... everyone from the show was in the pavillion for trophies... but it was great to see some of the cleanest 94-95's in the world in person... Had I not had 2 cranky kids in tow I would have stuck around and tried to meet you guys....

    17x10.5 rear wheels. What tires?

    Yeah... that is the problem I have with a DR and the Sumitomo's... I average 15k miles per year and buying tires each year get's old... so both of these are out... I think I am going back to a 275/40 so I can run General UHP's again.... My last set I got over 30k on the back tires....

    Yep... the retracting mechanism is pretty well hidden behind some structural reinfocements... and since my car is initially a NH car I have already broken two T50 bits trying to get the bolt out... this is even after a ton of penetrating oil and even a lot of heat (with more penetrant to cool it...

    So then a goal of a home built 400+ cu in motor for the cost of a 347 crate motor is very realistic? Where are good places to get the block and rotating assembly and/or do you guys prefer to do your own block then local machining?

    Does anyone have a picture of the release mechanism? I cannot get either of the bolts out to take the unit out of the car (either at the actual mechanism or where the harness attaches under the rear seat)... I am so stumped right now...

    Is it possible to build a 408 (or similar) for under $4800 if I build it myself. This would need to include all of the parts that I would need in addition to a 347 crate motor... ie new injectors are needed for the 347 so they do not count towards the cost... What is everyones opinions of a...
