    1994 351W Roller Engine Question

Thanks everyone your input has been very helpful. So I took most of the motor apart and saw a small amount of sand on the rods and on the pistons. I am thinking the engine originated from a farm truck. I also found out that the engine is from 1997, because the lifter retainers had a...

    1994 351W Roller Engine Question

Pistons and Valve Clearance I currently have the 351W (F4TE) down to the short block. Does anyone know if the pistons on a 1994 F4TE engine are cast or forged? I was also wondering if the AFR 205's need some valve clearance, can the pistons be notched more without removing the pistons...

    1994 351W Roller Engine Question

Clearances Thanks for the information, I will make sure to have the clearance checked, if it does not work then I will just go ahead and rebuild the engine locally so that these heads work. If it does work, the increase in compression will be a good boost. :D

    1994 351W Roller Engine Question

351W CarFreakGt, it is funny to see that I am influencing others :D I know what you mean, I have a 1991 5.0 HO and the 302 that was in the car, but I decided to buy a roller 351W. That means buying another intake and most likely headers. I already have ceramic long tubes for the 302 and...

    1994 351W Roller Engine Question

My dad found two at a junkyard, so I have two to choose from. I am driving 3 hours to go see which of the two looks the best. If the stock heads are 64cc what will the AFR 205 head with 58cc combustion chambers do to the compression? Thanks for the replies so far, I am glad to see I am on...

    1994 351W Roller Engine Question

I needed some advice on a roller 351W. From what I could find these are supposed to have a compression ratio in the high 8's. From the factory they had the E7TE heads. What combustion chamber size do these heads have? If I get one of these stock engines with 80K miles can I install 58cc...

    351W Build

I have a question along the same lines in regards to a stock 1994 roller 351W. Can I use AFR 205 heads at the stock displacement and CR with a cam change? Later down the road I want to build a 408W and don't want to buy heads twice.

Best shock absorber for the dollar?

Shocks I got QA1 single adjustable shocks from Summit Racing, with a 10% coupon code, price seemed reasonable for the quality. Sometimes CJ Pony Parts has specials and the price is fair for the set. My brother got his set there.
