    I had two of those bastards lock up on my so I finally decided to just get a delete pulley. If you drive your 5.0 with a smog pump you are asking to get stranded. I even bought a brand new one and it happened.

    I need to get rid of my door dings as well. I have mineral grey but I am scared of taking them off and having the paint peel. They dont look THAT bad do they?

    I think I'm switching over to the 4.6 crowd...

    Everything about my new 4.6 is better then my 5.0 except the initial whiplash feeling when you nail the gas.

    Just showin off my new ride! Car is a 2001GT and has 43,000 Kms. Mods are magnaflow catback , MAC CAI, Hurst shifter, and a SCT xcaliberII tune. The thing is pretty mint inside and out I am happy with the ride compared to my old 5.0.

    Well not that anyone cares but I will update this thread :) I finally got another mustang its a 2001GT with 40,000km. It has a few mods like exhaust , CAI, and SCT tune but it does not have that raw power that my 5.0 had. Its great because its a lot newer and drives smooth so I am happy...

    Sorry to bring up this old thread. On average how many miles less will an engine with a Mongoose kit last then a complete stock 4.6l. Could I install a mongoose kit on my new 2001GT with 20k miles and have it last to 200k?

    more noisy rockers...

    I had the exact same problem with the ramp rates on my comp cam nx264 cam and stronger springs. Impossible to get the back to stock silent. I even bought new pushrods, roller rockers, and lifters.
