I could use some HELP here guys..

Sounds like engine knock to me. I moved to FL from NC a few months ago, and my engine will knock every so often when I have it in too high of a gear and try and accelerate too fast. It is a little warmer and more humid in FL than NC. If you have a manual, drive your car in 5th at around...

Finally saw a camaro and mustang gt on the road

I have the opposite effect. I have seen a few 2010 Mustangs Camaros and the Camaros win hands down for me. The Mustang is not bad, but the rearend just plain sucks. I have seen both at the dealer lots and the Camaro wins again. I have not sat in either of them, so I can't really comment on...

If you were to sell your 4.6 GT

Larger and Heavier yes. While the Challenger is more expensive, the Camaro is not much more expensive. GT's are going for 32-34k, that is about the same for the SS unless of course you get the full package SS which some of the options are pretty rediculous. (wheel packages over 3,000).

Sources Say Coyote is a Go

That would be great, but I wonder what will happen with the new 5.0 engine and the new Camaro. Take a look at the article on msn.com. It looks like the government will pass even tougher mpg regulations with an average of 42 mpg. While that would be great to have that kinda of mpg, what will...

If you were to sell your 4.6 GT

All three are way overpriced (Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger). If I had to, I would but the Camaro SS. It performs better and it looks good. The Challenger is huge and is ugly. Also consider the Pontiac G8 GT or GXP. Good performance and a 4-door if you needed the extra room (family...

    bfg - kdw's or g-force sports?

I like BFG tires and I have had 2 sets of kdws, 2 sets of kdw (version with the strange tread pattern) and I am on my first set of g-sports. If you drive in winter with a lot of snow and ice than get the kdws. The kdw are good tires and have more grip than the g-sport, but they wear fast...

MM K-member guys come on in please

I think the point trying to made is how many UPR K-members have broken compared to MM (I am not implying one is better than the other). Everything is subject to failure, but most of us would rather have something that has a better track record of realibility.

    03 GT Emission Test Problems...

Your rear O2 sensors might not be close enough (might be too cool) to your engine and causing the slow response. You could try moving them closer to the engine. I have Bassani x-pipes with cats and I have and SCT xcalibrater tuner and I had my O2 sensors after the cats turned off and I had...

    5W-20 or 5W-30

Why did they switch? I have always understood that switching oils was a bad idea because they all use different additives. If they switched brands, than the different additives more and likely freed some of the gunk and carbon deposits already there and allowed them to move around. If they...

    1/4 mile predictions for 2010

Good point. I wasn't aware that the supercharger option was available on any GT and that is only 3,500. I assumed it was only available on the premium GT's with the "track package". That is amazing that they only charge 3,500 for the supercharger, install it and warranty it when it it is...

    1/4 mile predictions for 2010

we do not have the chevy dealer markup prices yet which im sure will be comparable if not worse than the mustangs. I am sure some Chevy dealers will be marking up the price, but I have already been to a dealer and they are not marking up any of the Camaros, granted I haven't ordered one. You...

    1/4 mile predictions for 2010

Just a few questions: 1.) Has the rearend (besides the gearing) for the 2010 Mustang changed. How much abuse can it take? Can it handle 3.73 with sticky tires and hard launches? 2.) What kind of rearend does the Camaro SS have? Can it handle abuse? How will the Camaro handle sticky...

    Trick Flow 2V N/A 408hp on Horse Power T.V.

I saw the episode and I am very curious. I would like to know how it would effect the driveability. Does anyone have these heads? A lot of people say it would be better to get a blower and if your goal is upwards of 400Hp than probably so, but they forget one thing. A car with a blower...

Too many unsold '08s and '09s?

Actually, I have included inflation. Inflation for automobiles should not be 30%+. There are some things that can withstand inflation of 30% or higher, but as inflation increases at a much faster rate than people's salaries than some companies will have to figure out a way to keep price...

Too many unsold '08s and '09s?

I will be very surprised if the new Mustang sells very well. There are two things that are going to go against the new Mustang. One is the obvious bad economy we are in. It is hard to sell new cars right now, but to sell a $30k+ Mustang GT will be even tougher. The second has nothing to do...

    Definition of Acceleration

I thought this was an interesting read. 'DEFINITION OF ACCELERATION' One top fuel dragster 500 cubic inch Hemi engine makes more horsepower than the first 4 rows of stock cars at the Daytona 500. Under full throttle, a dragster engine consumes 1-1/2 gallons of nitro methane per second...

    Dual batteries fries radar detector?

I would try something simple and connect your grounds together. Just tie your grounds together with a cable. Even though you have grounded them to the frame which should be the same grounding potential, there might be enough difference to cause problems.

how many miles are on your 99-04?

2002 GT with 131,000 and paid for, finally. :D Purchased new in may 2002 with about 30 miles, most of which I put on with the test drive. Average about 19,000 miles per year. Replace front brakes twice and rear brakes once. Replaced the alternator. Oil changes every 5000 miles or so...
