Requirements for Kenne bell supercharger, help!!

Because no mail order tune, even if it is from KB, it won't be perfect. If I am going to spend several thousand dollars on my car, a couple hundred to make sure my tune is dead on won't matter. I understand that KB does a good job, but every car is different and will behave slightly different...

Requirements for Kenne bell supercharger, help!!

I plan on getting a KB myself and I have come to the conclusion that I am going to get the 9lb kit instead of the 6lb and just get a real safe tune and maybe even run a 8lb pulley on it just to be safe. This is my daily driver, but one day, when I have enough money, I plan on forging the engine...

Missing the way it used to sound (down with the police!)

Have you checked to see what the law actually says about how the cats are attached. Just b/c a cop told you that it had to be welded, doesn't mean he was right. I would find out what the law says about cats in MD. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

    Rotrex supercharger

I just read an article in Hot Rod magazine (December 05) about a Rotrex supercharger. The article said that it has the instant boost of a roots blower and the eff. of a turbocharger ~80%. Has anyone heard about this blower or have any other info. on it. It sounds like a great blower. They...

    how much more hp?

Do you honestly believe that you won't notice that your water pump failed weither it is a mechanical or electrical pump. You would have to be asleep not to notice.

    Electric Water Pump

If you are able and willing to modify your car and you don't notice if your car is overheating, than you need to sell your car, turn in your drivers license and start riding the bus. I was driving my Dad's 1997 Crown Vic down I-95 going about 75-80mph and I had been driving for about 1.5...

    Tire Shine

I use a product by Liquid Glass. It is called Connisseur's Choice. The website is www.liquidglass.com They also make polishes and cleaners. This stuff has mink oil in it. That is what people put on leather to clean it and protect it. I used it on my old 93 stang and I had it for 9 years...

    best mod you've made?

Nice car, :nice: I have a black 02 GT as well. I can't decide if I want to stay n/a or go s/c. Anyway, my question is what is the difference between the 04 heads and the 02 heads. What gains did you see, why did you do the swap, and what was the cost. One more thing, have you had any...

    supercharger question

I know this topic has been covered and I have done numerous searches about this topic, but I am not clear on a few things. I want to put a 6psi KB on my 2002 stang, it is a daily driver and I would get a conservative tune, but later in life, when I can afford another car to be my daily...

How do I supercharge my 4.6?

It doesn't matter where you get the KB, it will be the same price, so just go by there website for pricing. By the way, I noticed that you have black FR500's. I have thinking about getting the black ones or the chrome ones. Do you have any pics, and what size tires are you running. Thanks

    How screwed am I?

This thread is very interesting. I have always heard to use anti-sieze on Al. heads for the plugs. Do a search on this forum on changing sp's and everyone says to use anti-sieze. I use copper plugs (Autolites), and change them every 10,000 miles, my car currently has 54,000 miles, it is a...

failed emissions -- please help :-)

If all else fails besides taking off your LT's, try taking your original cats, if you still have them, and put them on your car, but with the LT's still on. This will mean doing a little fabrication. Basically you will be making your mid-pipe. I am sure you can get this done from a good...

For those of you who don't yet have a FRPP aluminum driveshaft

If they know that people will still buy them at a higher price regardless of manufactoring costs, than the price will go up, and you know that Mustang owners will pay a lot of money to mod their babys. Unfortunately, I know I have spent a few $$. Most parts have competitors, but I don't know...

Aftermarket shifter on a daily driver?

Mine car is a daily driver as well, and I have been very skeptical of all the mods that I have done, but after a lot of reading and researching, I am very glad I went for a new shifter. It is notchy at first, but like all new parts it needs to wear in for a couple of weeks. I am 6' tall and I...

    All Season Performance Tires.

I have the BFG KDWS, stock size on my mine and so far they are great. I haven't had them in the snow yet, just got them in the early part of spring. They do great in the rain. My car is a daily driver. I can't say anything for the other brands you mentioned.

    Battery disconnect

I don't know much about electricity, but I had a thought. Of course you might have already thought about this. I wouldn't disconnect from the battery, b/c that means you would have to reset all radio stations in your car which I realize is trivial compared to a stolen car. If you could, you...

    Why buy a cooler thermostat?

You are correct in saying that higher temperatures mean more energy. Hoever, it would be best if you could keep the engine cold at all times. If you could do this, that means that all the energy in the fuel went in to moving the piston and not into the engine itself. When I say keep the...
