I know this topic has been covered and I have done numerous searches about this topic, but I am not clear on a few things.
I want to put a 6psi KB on my 2002 stang, it is a daily driver and I would get a conservative tune, but later in life, when I can afford another car to be my daily driver, I want to upgrade the 6 psi to 9psi or higher. Now the question is, how will my stock engine hold up to 6-9 psi of boost. I know the internals are weak and are subject to breaking, but what about the block. I have heard conflicting stories about how much power the block can handle. I would probably eventually want 450 max rwhp for my car(of course new internals would be added before I got this high). What can the block handle. I have heard that 450 would be close to the limit, is that flywheel or rwhp, but I don't believe that b/c the cobra has around 400 rwhp, and I know Ford would not put a warranty on a car that is close to the limits of the block.
