I know this topic has been covered and I have done numerous searches about this topic, but I am not clear on a few things.

I want to put a 6psi KB on my 2002 stang, it is a daily driver and I would get a conservative tune, but later in life, when I can afford another car to be my daily driver, I want to upgrade the 6 psi to 9psi or higher. Now the question is, how will my stock engine hold up to 6-9 psi of boost. I know the internals are weak and are subject to breaking, but what about the block. I have heard conflicting stories about how much power the block can handle. I would probably eventually want 450 max rwhp for my car(of course new internals would be added before I got this high). What can the block handle. I have heard that 450 would be close to the limit, is that flywheel or rwhp, but I don't believe that b/c the cobra has around 400 rwhp, and I know Ford would not put a warranty on a car that is close to the limits of the block.

The stock block and crank will handle between 550-600hp at the flywheel. The internals are hit and miss. Some will take 450fwhp for years, while others will crack a ring landing at 3psi. Personally, I think it's better to be safe than sorry and to save up another grand or two, to do it right the first time.

Every engine is different. Like stated previously, it is hit or miss. I have a 7psi pulley on my KB w/ no intercooler and I have logged about 5000miles and have had 0 problems. I do lean into the gas quite often, it is so much fun and addicting. My next step before I do anything else is uprgrading my brakes. I was messing around w/ another GT last week on I70, we got up to around 120mph, and I just had to let him know that I wasn't your normal GT. Well in the process, there was some cars in front of us up a ways, but they come fast at 120mph, I hit the brakes and they faded very fast , sort of scary. Definetly getting a brake upgrade,
