    Anyone running WMS ramair kit??

Sorry, I should have been more clear in my post. I meant the blanket. Thanks for the heads-up

    Painting stock wheels?

I am considering bringing my stock 2005 wheels (bullets) to a body shop to have them painted. Has anyone done this? Any horror and/or success stories?

    Anyone running WMS ramair kit??

Here's part of an email response from WMS: The Cervini's hood will not create ram air with our system as the openings are not in the correct place. RK Sport does make a hood that would work, it has openings in the very front of the hood like the original concept car. Really though I...

What makes a Cold Air Kit...a Cold Air Kit?

Thanks for all the responses. I'm starting to understand this whole CAI thing, but I still want to ask: Why not just throw a cone filter and a heat shield on my stock piping and get the same results? It seems to me that's what Steeda did

    Black Car

The only time I used the water blade was on an old SUV. I wouldn't use it on a new finish. The argument is that if the blade picks up a tiny particle of dirt, it will drag it across the finish. The counter-argument would be that if you properly washed the car, you shouldn't have to worry about...

    Some TSBs resolved

I dropped my car off this morning at the dealership to get some TSBs looked at: Freezing e-brake cable Squeaking brakes Squeaking steering wheel (No TSB for this) I just got a call from the shop and they said that the e-brake cable and rear brake pads have been ordered and will be...

    COP-Watch

HAHA!! Nice cover! I had a cop stop make a u-turn on the street after he saw me detailing my car at my firehouse. He just complimented it and was on his way. It wasn't a traffic stop, but it was still cool. his exact words were, "I saw two tail pipes so I had to come back for a better look."

What makes a Cold Air Kit...a Cold Air Kit?

I'm new to modding so I apologize for the newbie question. Other than a tube and a filter, what makes a cold air kit? I thought of this question when i saw the Steeda cold air kit that utilizes the stock piping. There has to be something in there other than a filter, a heat shield and a...

    Dash power outlet

Like steedastang66 said, the power outlet needs to be connected to a wire that is only hot when the ignition is on, as opposed to a 24/7 hot wire. I did this on an old SUV. My power outlet was broken, so I added a two-outlet adapter under the dash. You have to open the dash and probe a wire...

    Black Car

I use the water magnet from Meguiar's. Fold it in four, and move slowly over the vehicle. Then, follow this with a quality microfiber to get any remaining water droplets. Another tip to make drying easier (I'm not crazy, this really works): After you wash and rinse your car, remove the...

    Cervinis Ram Air Hood

How can this hood be functional? It seems as if the air would just get under the hood, but without proper duct work, it wouldn't truely be "Ram-Air." I've seen some CAIs with the filter right in the middle in front of the engine (there is not bent tube). Maybe something like that would work...

    pics

That looks nice! Cervini's website says the ram air hood is functional. Where does the air go if it's coming in from the top? Is there an inlet? Or is there another piece that needs to be installed under the hood?

    GT Exhaust Poll

Great clip. I think you sold me. The other clip on this thread sounded great too. 66_stang - what type of taillight blackouts are those. They look really nice and still allow the light to shine through when the brake is applied

    coldair intakes?

When you guys are "tuning" the car after installing a CAI, does this void the warranty? Also, instead of going and spending $300 on a XCal, or something similar, can I just go to my mechanic or a speed shop and have them do a one-time tune for the CAI?

    Spark Plugs

No gapping is needed? So I can just install new plugs right out of the package? If so, why is there a gapping tool (suposedly), as listed above? Last question, how often does everyone change their plugs?

    GT Exhaust Poll

I see people giving different opinions on exhausts depending on whether you leave the stock H-Pipe or get an aftermarket. When getting an axle-back system, with no H-Pipe replacement, what difference would there be if I went with the SLP? From what I've read on here, performance is not going...

    cold air kits??

I'm pretty new to this, so I apologize if this is a stupid question. Why do you have to BUY a tuner. If I buy a CAI, won't a speed shop have an "in-house" tuner. Basically, I'd just pay them to tune my car once. I can see if you plan on making many modifications to your car, then your own...

    Post Pics of Your Mustang

What % is that tint. I'm getting mine done in the next few weeks and I'm trying to figure out what % would look best. I've heard from people with blacks cars that a "lighter" tint would show even lighter when contrasted to a black car, as opposed against a white or red. It makes a lot of...
