Painting stock wheels?

I am considering bringing my stock 2005 wheels (bullets) to a body shop to have them painted.

Has anyone done this?

Any horror and/or success stories?

i saw a guy that painted his stock upgrade wheels. he used the duplicolor wheel paint and it has lasted for quite some time. a bodyshop will charge AT LEASE 1 hour labor per whell, probably more. in my area, the labor rate is $46/hr X 4 wheels = $184 + materials minimum!!!! not sure it is worth it. the duplicolor is only a few bucks per can. if you mess it up, and wanted a shop[ to fix it, then you would not be out much more money. if it came out good, then you would be way ahead in the pocket!!
