do I have unusual/rare interrior, the door panels are so different from my 78?

I never saw that style rear panel either. Your II looks real good. Hope you get the problems squared away with it so it can be driven and seen. LedZ

syberjunkie-That's what happened to this piddly rear I have. It just went BANG and that was all she wrote. A lot of clunking after that. Like I said, it was fun. If the repair would even come close to what it cost you for the lightening than I'll just use one of my II open rears and scrap this...

Mark- I understand what you're saying. I didn't think I was beating the car that much. I would hate to take this to the track if that's all this trans and rear can take. I'd probably break on my first run and all the Bowties would have a good laugh at the weasley little II. I'm not going to baby...

    One El-Kabonged Detroit Locker

Mark- I always popped the clutch before the damage. Now I just let the clutch up a little and I get a lot of clunking noises. I can't let the clutch engage. I'll figure it all out once the center is removed. 1badII- Thanks for the picture. I couldn't find anything in my Chilton or Motor...

    One El-Kabonged Detroit Locker

1badII- I don't know what's inside a Detroit but will find out within the next few days. I'm hoping just minimal damage like spider gears, if there are any, or axles. a351MUST2- This was kind of freakish the way this rear just went out to lunch. I didn't have a clue or I would've did some R&R...

    One El-Kabonged Detroit Locker

Well, I have a problem with my 3.80 locker. I went to do a smokey burn out yesterday and let the clutch out at around 2800 and nothing happened except a loud bang and the tires didn't even move. At first I thought I dropped the driveshaft or knocked out the T-5. I thought the Detroit Lockers...

    Jumping out of second gear

Welcome to the forum. I'm new around here too only been here for a few weeks. Hard to say what the problem may be with your RAD-4 until you open the box. It could be a worn shift fork or syncronizer. It is repairable or you could replace the trans with one that's known to work well.

    Getting ripped off...

Not sure how the postal service works with this type of issue in Canada. I had the same problem in March of 03 with a seller that listed II parts for sale on mii.net. I sent a US postal money order for $340.00 and got ripped. The postal inspectors didn't get me my money back because there were...

COBRA 7-Nice picture! It was years ago that I wanted to try the 429 or 460 transplant. Now I'm more interested in the 351W strokers.

IICrazy-thanks for the welcome to the forum. It's nice to have ambitious plans as long as the money is there to back it up. Years back I wanted to do the 385 series transplant but wasn't too sure about all the extra weight on the front end. Since the stroker crate motors have been more readily...

    fuel pressure question

Sounds like one of the small aftermarket pumps you can buy at Auto zone or Advance. Like CobraIILover said, check your fuel pressure to get a reading. If you get a good pump pressure reading than like Blue Thunder said, set your float levels with the motor warmed up and choke open. Be careful...

JonDawg, thanks for the welcome to the forum. I know it's some work involved but in the long run it will be well worth the effort. I'll just need to stock up on rear tires if I give it the go ahead.
