    I've had the transgo in mine for about 15 000 miles and no problems. The transgo generally gets bashed around here but I had done a lot of reading on the 4R70W and the J-mod and I found that the instructions were a bit unclear.. So I decided on the Transgo and had it professionally installed.

    275s are a great fitting tire on a 9" rim and you should have no problems. In fact the 275s and 315s are the same diameter so they compliment each other well. My 275s do stick out a bit on the front end but it doesn't bother me. The 255/40s I had on were perfectly flush.

    What year is your car. On my '98 GT my 275/40s just barely clear on my Bassani exhaust. Slapping on a 10.5" wheel would require some exhaust bending. The 99+ guys don't seem to have this problem. BTW, I don't know why you would buy a 10.5" wheel and only put a 275/40 on it. Why not 285 or...

    Thanks y'all for the answers. I pretty much figured it would be unwise to run without a tune and a dyno tune would be the best bet. In short: cams+install+mail order tune+dyno tune = $$$$

    Four things no automatic transmission should be without: 1. Shift kit such as the J-mod to firm up shifts 2. High stall torque converter 2600-3200 RPM 3. Transmission cooler 4. 4.10 gears :nice:
