Brake upgrade: Is this a good deal?

It is a REALLY good deal, but you have to be careful with this set up. Most other kits are $450+ especially after shipping. Note that the caliper and brackets are not powder coated, itz just bare metal. A friend of mine has this exact same kit and his calipers, brackets and the rotors themselves are rusted/corroded to hell. Im sure if you clean them a bit, and keep a little protectant on them, then they might be fine.

If you want only the performance aspect, this is a good one, if you want looks and perfromance, go elsewhere. Here are some other good places.

Those are almost $500 shipped, but then again they are PCd. My friend is saving to buy another set of calipers right now. He wants a set from here.

With his Chrome Saleen wheels, and rusted calipers, his ride looks a bit funny right now.

They are the stock Mach 1 brakes and are identical to stock Cobra brakes except they dont say cobra. The calipers are no different, paint or otherwise from the Cobras. They will be fine and are much cheaper than most places. Mustang Tuning has the cheapest kit other than this one. Theirs is $400 + 5% off and free shipping if you use stangnet code. But the MT ones say COBRA.

Thanks all. Don't really care about the caliper color but I will shoot it with some high temperature paint if I but it (probably black). It's exactly what I wanted and wanted to verify it. It's essentially the Cobra kit you see everywhere for about $400 but it comes with stainless lines and free shipping to boot.

I may buy this kit and spray a few coats of caliper paint. I would also paint the part of the rotors which doesn't contact the pads. The kit comes with stainless lines as well. These are the same guys Diversified Products (buyfordracing.com) that advertise in the Stang magazines.
