Ford Explorer daily driver / carfax ¿

well thanks for the info... anyone else ad to this? I know that this is not the best option for a beater, because there are others out there (god forbid I buy a foreign make lol) BUT this car would only see maybe 2 months cumulative driving time a year for the next two years...

For those that purchased a Multi-Spark Ignition to cure a problem.

i originally bought a used MSD 6AL to keep more power to the plugs in able to run a bigger spark plug gap under blower pressure... but now i use it because the cam's effects on the computer, lack of catalytic converters, bigger fuel pump, pressure and injectors all increase the fuel -...

    Corbeau seat owners

I have the CR-1s and i think they are the best seats... but then again, my experience with aftermarket seats is not that vast. I've taken several 1500 mile trips and they are the most comfortable seats for long drives. You'd think that b/c you're in the same position most of the time with...

Help School me on the classics...

So... I think the 65-66 ones are a little shorter? Is that right? Like, is it that the fenders are shorter, or the quaters? Is there a good source for parts, like year One, or do you guys just go to salvages and local shops? thanks again

Help School me on the classics...

BLUF: Tell me which car i should rebuild... in your own opinion. So I've been into mustangs for years, but only the newer fox's and SN-95s... but now me and a friend are going to undertake a project. I said that we needed something to do here at the USMA ( the military academy in NY ) and...

Trick Flow Stage 1 in a Cobra?

I didn't have to change my pushrods, they are the original ones... but i did my cam on a budget - I did take off the 1.7's before i put in the TFS 1 because i had a bigger cam in there, and i just never put them back on... it was a straight bolt in for me, the only other thing i replaced...

HELP!!! Car completely and suddenly dies while driving!

I had this problem - the car would straight up die in gear, usually under acceleration, but not always, and it never died at idle... this was on a 95 GTS, so I pulled in a 94 GT vert beside it and started swapping parts until I figured it out - it was the ignition module in the distributor...

    woohoo

Oh yeah - 3/10ths is not unreasonable by any means with the switch from AODE to 5 speed. I'll be switching to a Tremec soon too - good luck on 14.3's...

will 94 springs fit my 89?

I'm almost positive that they are the same springs. If nothing else, call them... but i don't remember there being a difference.

    !Broken Valve Spring!

I'd say replace the whole setup over there... unfortunately that includes the valve, with a new lock and retainer. if you have the stuff to fix it - switching the rod and rocker to the other one might help you eliminate those variables to see if it happens again - but that's still running...

    Installing a new dizzy

I'd go with the latter on that one bud... it's not that hard to make sure you get it right the first time. at TDC the rotor should face the intake - maybe a little before the 1st runner before it's advanced. good luck

    Supercharge my Cobra?

you could buy my blower! lol I'm going with a 351 stroker and am selling just about everything on my car now because i wont be using it anymore... so enough about that yeah, go with the boost, you wont regret it - nothing's better IMO (cept for those um-teenth thousand dollar turbo setups) -...

    Any New Jersey Tuning shops?

as said before by stprorolla49 - there are many good tuners in Jersey... I've dealt with Larocca's before and they are pretty knowledgable...

Who in here is running 2.02/1.60 valves???

yes, you are right - .039" of thickness will make a difference... you would ideally want to check it without a gasket for several reasons, one, you know if it clears withouth a gasket, that it will clear with one, and two - who wants to compress their gasket, and completely torque a head down...

    Old School 408 transplant

whatever his head size... nice setup man. You'll have to let me know how it turns out, because in upcoming seasons, I will be going with a 396 or 408 and am interested to see what she does in the car. also, what transmission are you running and how much did those Kooks cost you...

    ATI procharger experiences?

oil leaks eh? yeah, i would say that i have some experience on this issue... when i took the procharger off of my 95 GTS and went to put it on the 94 cobra, the front seal had busted somehow and when i fired up the engine, it threw oil everywhere... lol - hit the fricking sealing and all over...
