    Trading up (dealership responses appreciated!)

With the Shelby GT out and dropping in price, as well as the Bullitt soon to be, I was considering trading in my 07 sixer sometime next year. Grant it, I just bought it in February '07 and will be making payments for four more years, here's the question. If i wanted to trade it in towards...

    My lovely local dealership

I hope so kooldawg. I'm already planning on buying Ford's "answer" to the pending Camaro and Challenger :nice: . The bigger question, what is Ford going to do to improve the body style of the S197...I don't think there is much. ::bad feeling about Ford completing messing up the look they have...

    My lovely local dealership

My largest local Ford Dealership, the one I bought my 2007 S197 from, just recently got a white Shelby GT...with a $15k markup - yeah $50,000. The guy told me "Yeah, that can be yours for the low price of $50,000...it is a Shelby after all!" For $50,000 I'd buy a Vette. Ford is going to...

    S197 vs previous years

I still don't get why people V6 bash, and I agree with Jen there wasn't any at all in this thread. I digress.

    S197 vs previous years

I was thinking about turning my sixer into a CS6, but it would cost at least $15k for the parts and god knows how much for the labor/paint. Even if I would uprade the essentials, CAI, tune, gears, exhaust, supercharger I'd still be looking at an upwards of $5k easy when it's all said and done...

    S197 vs previous years

Thanks for the replies guys and girls, interesting stuff indeed. What will be more interesting is when I move into my new job soon, and double my salary. To pay off the v6er a year early and cash in on the latest Mustang or a pending special edition, or keep the v6 and deck it out. It will be...

    S197 vs previous years

So I was at a stop light last night; pulled up beside a fox body mustang with "5.0L" on the side of it. Definitly sounded like a 5.0 was under the hood. Now, I do not race...period. Anyways, he revs up, holds, and dumps it peeling out...I never budge - the fox moved pretty quick. Now, here...

    Ridiculous Pricing

After calling around, the ford dealership wants $175 dollar to install a $360 part, for one hour of work - $175 per hour... I'm going to buy straight from Borla, have a warrantied exhaust, and have a local body shop install it for $70. Ford Dealerships :nono:

    Ridiculous Pricing

Hey everyone, long time no post. Decided to break my rule and upgrade just one thing on my sixer, the exhaust. I wanted to go with a single axle back FRPP muffler, but the price on their website...$370 - wow, seems a bit much. Anyone know where I can get it cheaper? I searched through...

Stange hissing/oscillation sound on my sixer - help

Hey everyone, Well the specifics - 2007 V6 premium with ~ 600 miles on it. We just recently had a major wind/dust storm here in the High Plains. This is approximately when I started to notice this hissy/oscillation sound - almost like a belt. I took it to the dealership, we popped the...

The V6 Exhaust sound clip thread.

X pipe is the stock on a GT, and a Y pipe is the stock on a sixer? Regardless, I think I'll buy the MAC muffler, just a little leery on buying the MAC muffler on their website because it doesn't say "SS Axle back." However, I'm assuming they are one in the same?

The V6 Exhaust sound clip thread.

Thanks for clearing that up Bigcat. Think I will go for the MAC axle back exhaust then, just need clarification on if the MAC muffler I referred to from the MAC homepage, is the same one referred to in the previous post - I believe it was an MAC SS Axle back. Was entertaining the idea of a...

The V6 Exhaust sound clip thread.

Hey everyone, Just bought my 07 V6 Mustang a few days ago, and already looking at upgrading the exhaust. Going to keep it single for the time being so I don't incur a lot of fees. From what I have listened to in the previous posts, the MAC sounds like the winner - just a few questions: 1.)...

    Finally join the steed ranks

Thanks for the response Jenn, I used Meguiars NXT line of products, along with several other Meguiars products on my previous car - which was a jeep =p and was 100% satisfied. As soon as we stop getting freezing fog here in the Texas Panhandle, I'm going to spend an entire day cleaning her...

    Finally join the steed ranks

Hi everyone - Finally...I'm part of the Mustang crowd. Bought my first ever car, and I'm proud to say it is a Mustang. It's an 07 automatic sixer, black with the pony package. Pretty much bought a loaded interior, and I pretty much absolutely love it. I'll be sure to post pictures when I...

Anybody know how to get rid of the seatbelt safety chime???

Often, people over look the fact that not wearing a seat belt puts other people in your car, or in another person's car in danger. My entire family is in the medical profession, and I can't tell you how many real life trauma videos (were the aftermath was shown) I have seen were unbuckled...

Any thoughts on the 07 Grabber Yellow?

Yellow is a tricky color to play with - it's one of those "hot" colors. While you can do some really awesome pairing with black wheels, black stripes, etc - it's very hard to give yellow that glass-like reflection other deeper car colors have. If you are going for that "hot" appearance, I think...

Deep Dish, and spacers, and bears oh my!

After a lengthy thread about wheel and tire sizes (which has made everything crystal clear to me now) I have run into another problem. I have searched through the site for information on deep dish wheels (specifically from mustang tuning), and necessary adjustments needed for installation. I...

    Tire/Rim purchasing - questions

Just when you thought this was over, lol. Upon trying to find Nitto NT-555 in 255/35/20Z for the front tires, I noticed there were none on the list (steeda.com). I then tried to find BF Goodrich 255/35/20, and while I could, I couldn't order them, nor see their specs. I find it hard to...
