After a lengthy thread about wheel and tire sizes (which has made everything crystal clear to me now) I have run into another problem. I have searched through the site for information on deep dish wheels (specifically from mustang tuning), and necessary adjustments needed for installation. I really don't want to go with deep dish, but I have been totally unseccessful finding regular 2005+ 18x8.5 front & 18x9 back Chrome Bullitt style wheels. Mustang tuning only offers this tyire in a 17x9, and the rest are all deep dish.

What is the downsides of deep dish compared to regular wheels? I know the wheel has a wider lip, and this could cause issues with spacing. If I purchased 18x9 deep dish bullitts for both front and back tires, would I need to get a spacer (whatever this is)? I believe the offsets on the Mustang Tuning DD Bullitt wheels are +36mm. Also, with deep dish wheels will I have to account for a wider wheel, yielding me having to get a wider tire? I was planning on doing a 255 front 275 back setup, but with the wheels all being 18x9 I don't know if I can do that now.

It's really frusterating because I just can't seem to find the wheel I want, in the size I want. Who would have thought 18x8.5 and 18x9 chrome bullitt wheels would be so d*** hard to find!

Save me :SNSign:

Edit: didn't realize I was in the talk section, this may need to be moved to the tech section
