    Possesion is 9 tenth's of the law. Usually you need to take the VIN number to your DMV and trace the previous owners. Requirements are different in each state. Just a signature showing that they sold the car.

    Your distibutor vacuum advance comes off the carb (delayed). As for the distributor??? If you go to, say, an MSD ignition setup, with the Pertronix it probably will not matter more than price.

    I said stock but.... I replaced the coil with a MSD Blaster. Just the coil. Stock distributor at 27 degrees dwell and AF45 plugs gapped at .035.

    Auburn's will do that as they break in. Change the oil and make sure you add the posi additive. Use real (not synthetic) 80W-90. The noise will go away after a few miles. Auburn's love to go straight. So.... quit turning.

    Pull the wire from the coil. If it has oil on it you need a new coil. They rarely go bad but when they do !!!
