    trans cooler install- hose size?

so the tranny cooler I got, is amazing :D. Almost as big as a hondas radiator. :rlaugh: (exagerating a little) with its own fan and a thermal switch. It has 1/2" NPTF openings. I see a lot of people use 3/8" hose. I know the hardlines coming from the tranny are pretty small, slightly smaller...

94 GT With A Fox Body Throttle Body Will It Work?

try cleaning the MAF sensor. Get some electronic parts cleaner from the local auto parts store, take the MAF off of the car, spray a lot of it on the sensor on the inside, gently wipe with a q-tip, and reinstall. If the MAF is bad or just dirty there should ba a check engine light, keep in mind...

aode needs another rebuild after 1year/10k miles

What you are talking about is the factory heat exchanger. Which I do have hooked up. It is not intended to cool the transmission. It is actually designed to heat up the transmission fluid after a cold start. I planned on putting a cooler in this winter, but now the tranny is starting to crap...

94 GT With A Fox Body Throttle Body Will It Work?

lots of people use fox throttle bodies, so the fact that the throttle body is for a fox is definately not the problem. Does the car have a tune, chip, computer mod or anything? An engine with those kinds of performance parts and no tune, will run, but not very well.

aode needs another rebuild after 1year/10k miles

No cooler. Been planning on getting one. Checked the trans fluid like a month before it started acting up, and it was fine. Never over heated the engine so I dont think I burned the oil.

A little over a year ago and less than 10k miles ago I had to have the aode rebuilt. The shop is no longer in business. Now, I like to have fun in the car, alot! But I NEVER do any stupid **** like neutral dropping it. So now it is starting to slip and shudder. Did they just do a horrible job or...

Is the catalytic converter heat shield important?

a shop, drove my car onto a lift and one of the heat shields on my new cats got ripped off. (this is exactly why I refuse to let a shop work on my car, but I didnt have a choice this time). They will pay for a new heat shield or a whole new cat and installation if necesary, but is the heat...

    Transmission cooler

I think that the one in my link might be a third style of cooler, because in the discription at the bottom it says fin and plate, but it looks like a stacked plate style cooler so maybe thats just another name for it. That mister system sounds like a great idea, I might have to steal it :D...

Thank you for the quick reply and the link was very helpful. The cooler im looking at is called a fin and plate style. Is a stacked plate cooler different from a fin and plate cooler, or are they two different names for the same thing? Im looking at this cooler B&M 70297 - B&M Hi-Tek...

    94 and 98 fenders different?

ya, i was pretty sure that he was wrong. He was so sure of himself too. I had never really examined 98 fenders so i figured a very small variation was possible, but then common sense kicked in. Ford wouldnt make two different parts with barely any difference where one part would work for both...

    94 and 98 fenders different?

Some guy at a carshow came up to me and started talking. He said that 98 fenders and quarter panels are wider (stick out further) and have bigger wheel wells than the 94. Is this true? Thanks.

    Nissan CV joints

just incase this might help anyone else, the sound was coming from the hub bearings. I had tightened down the hub nuts too tight. I backed them off, and the noise was gone. I didnt think i could hate front wheel drive cars any more than i did, but after having to pull the axles and rebuild all...
