trans cooler install- hose size?

so the tranny cooler I got, is amazing . Almost as big as a hondas radiator. (exagerating a little) with its own fan and a thermal switch. It has 1/2" NPTF openings. I see a lot of people use 3/8" hose. I know the hardlines coming from the tranny are pretty small, slightly smaller than 3/8" I think. Since the cooler is so high flow should I try to go a little bigger on the hose?

I have 3/8 line. Tranny doesn't get any hotter than 174*F (measured at TOT sensor) no matter how it is flogged in 100+*F heat.

thanks. Also what should I use to seal the fitting connections?

I used some teflon paste - started it up a few threads so there was no chance to get into the cooler.

Yea Wes is spot on. I use -6an pushlock line myself.
