    Gear whine would be my guess. Does it have aftermarket gears? It could also be bearings but I have never heard of bearing problems with the 8.8's and gears are more probable.

    take it to the parts store. They will usually pull codes for free hoping that you will buy the parts to fix it from them. Or find someone with a tuner.

    I've got the eibach pro kit as well. $50 for an alignment is MUCH cheaper than $300 for tires. You will also end up getting offset rack bushings and steeda X2 ball joints so you may want to wait until you have all the parts and don't have to take everything apart four times.

    While the FRPP one is probably a safer bet, I have 40k miles on my $140 ebay special. Its identical to the one advance auto will sell you, but for half the price. I was in in a bind when mine cracked around the thermostat housing.

    Can't really help you without knowing the code. The obvious choice is rear O2 sensor failure but you need to be sure.

    The parts guy brought me parts for a Fox. That pisses me off if the original bushings are available but the counter guy didn't know it. Now I have inferior bushings that will fail in 3-5 years instead of the factory replacements that have lasted 9.

    My compressor was kicking on and off more often than it should so I got a can of R134a and it took about 6oz and the low side pressure was riding where it should. Next morning when I hit the defrost i didnt feel the compressor kick on. Popped the hood and there is green dye all over the place...

    Probably didnt use any XL3 friction modifier. I bought the mobil 1 that was supposed to have it in there when I installed the carbon fiber clutch pack but they groaned and creaked. I had soaked them in some generic friction modifier I had in the shop. I installed my 3.73s and soaked the same...

    VS you have to ask? what are your plans for the car? unless you are seriously road racing (in which case you'd ask someone other than the internet) you won't see the benefit of the MM bar in my humble opinion. not for the money and installation costs anyway.

    that would be your heater core. Its a little radiator that warms your heart in winter and pisses you off in summer. Parts are cheap compared to the hours of labor to replace. Sorry dude.

    Me too. Ford *did* fix it with the aluminum crossover. While I am no automotive engineer I would have thought that the nylon would have held up (mine did), and aluminum would have been bulletproof!

    If it is sized properly it will not reduce the boost. Looking on Ebay the cx racing unit I see looks too small. 2" inlet piping will put velocity at over 600 fps at 8 psi and anything over 450 is going to slow you down. 2.5" pipe will give you 400 fps and good throttle response.

    Ebay shipping was taking too long so I bought one at Advance and installed it and put the Ebay parts back in the Advance box and returned it the next week. They were identical and even had the torque sequence printed on the manifold.

    i thought it had all sprayed out!:rlaugh: Mine cracked at seven years and six months. I was pissed. Got an Ebay special for $140.
