    alt overcharge fried battery? help!!

    I'm still battling my alternator overcharging issues and I'm curious if the alt over charging the battery could fry the battery and cause it to not hold a charge as well i.e. starting issues like if the battery were dead. im really stumped and can use all the help i can get. thanks in advance J

    i replaced the voltage regulator on my 3g alt a few days ago, worked fine for the first couple days and now the voltage is back at the top of the gauge again. anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? :shrug: thanks J

    Im running a 3g alt with a taurus fan on a toggle switch. when i first start the car until it is warmed up the voltage will be almost all the way at the top of the meter and the amp light will be flickering. it seems like the only way i can keep the voltage down is by turning on the fan, even if...
