    At the Park

This is just a particularly good picture of her. I'd just washed her up, and I was picking my son up from the park.

This is the same trim from the 40th show.
  3. Early Peg

    Early Peg

This is from high school, and one of my first pictures of Peg. Right there, she's probably still running a 289 with an awful C-4 auto.

    Patti's Trip

This is Peg and one of my best friend's Mach I (it's a legit Mach I). These two rods have been running around together over 2 decades.

Possibly Easy But Expansive Question . . .

Eh, more power, more fun . . . something different. It's most likely about as easy to put something new in for tons of base horsepower as opposed to building what you have. And, heck, it's just interesting to see what's out there, now. Things change much more quickly now than the "good ole...

Possibly Easy But Expansive Question . . .

Okay, don't laugh and forgive my ignorance on the subject. I'm an "old timer" and have been driving a '65 since 1985. My wife has a 2000 GT and my best friend has a 2000 GT. Both are sort of looking at upgrading their motors with a swap out. Basically one of the cars has 180k and the other...

    Not quiet, but quietER exhaust

The X-Crossover helps out a lot (opinion, but I've heard it with and without). There are always crappy issues when dealing with a '65 that's modified, though. Don't get me wrong. I've had the rod 27 years, and love her dearly. But there's never any room for anything, and almost EVERYTHING is...

    Not quiet, but quietER exhaust

Hey man, that's a great idea (app thing). Actually, I have a docimeter at work, so I can get you actual numbers. :) I haven't decided on what to get, yet. One of my limiting factors is that I'm running a 409 stroker that's got big pipes. It's sort of an "old school" motor (solid lifters...

    Not quiet, but quietER exhaust

COOL! I loved the Flowmasters some time ago, but I've started noticing that, crap, she's friggin' loud. LOL! Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'll look into both of them.

    Not quiet, but quietER exhaust

I'm looking for a little change for my '65. I've run big tube Flowmasters for 15 years, and I'm looking for a new exhaust that sounds "good" but doesn't cause the residents of the local cemetery to call and make a noise complaint. I'm running headers, an X-crossover, and I dump it under the...

    351w into 65 coupe

Absolutely . . . I had one with a decent manifold and a Holley 4bbl that fit under a stock hood. You need a fairly small (short) air filter. That's about it.

    Engine Weird Problem Stalling

:) Thanks! Actually, it got up to temperature as we had temps in the high 60's this past weekend . . . as I stare at the ice outside.

    Engine Weird Problem Stalling

Okay, update here . . . I put a new starter solenoid on, and either bravely or stupidly went for a drive. All went well. As a matter of fact, the car started better than ever. On cruise number one, I drove her about 4 or 5 miles in sixty degree weather. No issues. Tried cruise number two...

    Engine Weird Problem Stalling

H Hey Danny, how long (running) did it take to happen? That sounds like something that would happen to me! LOL! If the rain will break for a while, I'm going to try and change out the solenoid tonight . . . wish me luck, eh?

    Engine Weird Problem Stalling

The fuel pump is a brand new Holley unit . . . it's a beast . . . figgin' shakes the whole car. I'm thinking that if it were the fuel pump, the starter would still turn over okay. I MAY try the carb test, though . . . should have done that. Good idea!

    Engine Weird Problem Stalling

I'm MSD everything (ignition included), so I don't think those are issues. And the motor runs great . . . till it completely stalls out. GOOD POINTS ALL (including the good points on bad points :D), but I should have been more clear on my setup. Basically, the roof on my car is stock . . ...

    Engine Weird Problem Stalling

Aw, crap man, I had 2 in the trunk when this one went bad! LOL! I learned that one young. Growing up, my two biggest problems were breaking the long alternator bolts and blowing starter solenoids. For what it's worth, they used to make 2 different solenoids . . . one with a shiny mount and...

    Engine Weird Problem Stalling

Coil is remote mounted/MSD . . . so I think I'm okay there. It happens just driving. I haven't noticed it being moving or sitting preferential. Reckon it's a solenoid?
