    I looked at the mounting bracket and it is not on backwards.. Here is the front of the pulley and as you can see it is on backwards and there not much of a lip for the removal tool to grip and hold on to.

    The PS pump tool will not work because the ridge on the pulley is now facing backwards and won't be able to get the tool on. I know I will end up replacing the pulley but will a 3 jaw puller take off the pulley without damaging the pump?

    My engine is a rebuilt 302 with a Vortech, the only oil I added was about 1/2 a quart in the lifter valley to lube the lifters. How many quarts should I put in? I was thinking 6.5 or 7 quarts? What oil weight should I use to break in the engine? 5 or 10w 30?

    Where exactly do I pour the trans fluid in the shifter housing? The small hole with the red arrow, or in the shifter block with the black arrows? I poured some in there but doesn't look like its going through.

    I finally got the trans in! What a pain! I got the cross member bolted and how tight should the bolts be? The bolt is all the way through but still turns a little bit. Do I have this tab on the right way?

    There is about an inch or more. I don't want to force and wiggle it so hard where I can damage the pressure plate fingers. But I'm putting moderate force on it. What did you find out the problem was with your trans that wouldn't go in?

    I'm having a hard time installing the trans. The input shaft is inside the throw out bearing and I'm wiggling it and pushing it at the same time and it is still not going through. Does the trans need a lot of force to get the input shaft in?
