    I just ordered a set of JBA shorties for my car. Figured now is the perfect time to do it with the motor out. I'm not sure about gains either, but I'm all about improving the sound. Your car sounds awesome Shaun, hopefully I can get somewhat similar results with the magnaflows.

    Long tubes would be awesome but for those of us in California, where just about any mod is illegal and long tubes are out of the question, are the shorties worth it performance wise? If they are, what brands are good? I've heard mixed reviews.

    I got the cobra gear from Liberty Ford back east. I don't have the contact information with me here but I'll post it for you next week, unless someone else here as it. Paid 830 for both the pump and tank with shipping. Great deal. Everywhere else was asking 600+ for the tank alone.

    I'm running 3.73's in my car right now with no problem. It does take a little more skill to get a good launch without lighting them up, but it's also kind of fun to break the rearend loose at will.

    This car was on the showroom floor of the dealership where I bought my car. It's got some great options on it, including the 6spd. The car is historic too because I sat in it once, but for some strange reason they forgot to put that in the eBay ad. :shrug:

    Was that an insult Marcus? I chose to drive my car rather than make big payments and have it collect dust. Unfortunately, most of that driving is sitting in traffic on the freeway. :bang: At least the pedal went before the clutch. :rlaugh:

    All extremes have a diesel sound to them. Some call it piston slop, some say it's just because of the aluminum heads and aluminum pistons. Whatever it is, it doesn't go away, at least not on my car. But I'd say what you're hearing is normal for the extremes.

    The six speed was an option. There was a white 2004 SC with a 6spd at the saleen dealer where I bought my car. I've modded my car and I'm sure its hurting the value some, but what's probably hurting its value more is all the miles I'm putting on it. But damn those are some fun miles. :nice:
