    I never have checked it out. I probably should. Even though I don't have the timeslip to show a high 12 second run, I think it has it in it already. We will now come spring after the cams, LCA's and tune. In fact, unless it blows, I can pretty much promise a 12.80 on street radials.

    Definately doesn't look like your putting down enough power to hurt it. Since its a 96' maybe its just tired and ready for a rebuild. Mine is doing fine with just a shift kit with over 300 RWHP and 54,000 miles.

    The newer cars must have less room than the 98's. I changed mine in the apartment parking lot one day without jacking the motor or removing suspension. Just starter and steering. Its a knuckle bustin bitch for sure. Have some 1/4 drive tools available with universals and extensions.

    Mine started this this year. I also have small pieces of foam coming out of them, some sort of a gasket material I assume. I guess this is fairly common. Mine sits alot which may have something to do with it.

    If I would do this swap, for sound control (which I would not want much) I would use stainless steel glasspacks with stainless steel wool packing. True 60's muscle car sound.     Just due to parts accessibility and the rest, I wanted to go with a 460 - C6 - 9". I didn't do alot of research, but what stopped me was the uni-body construction of the car. I felt it wouldn't hold up. Then again, I have seen some amazing numbers in some people's sig which suggest otherwise.
