    Fiberglass Hood Options....

I agree as I have the same issue... not too bad though (probably a good 1/8 to almost a 1/4 of an inch rise in the center as it is related to the fenders). Scott

Problem with a SIMPLE oil leak!

Are you talking about the teflon tape plumbers use? I will be honest... that is what I had used before, but thought it would be better to use a true thread sealer. Now look where it's gotten me... lol

Problem with a SIMPLE oil leak!

Hey everyone, I am having problems with the oil sending unit extension rod leaking out of my 289 block. I had to replace my oil sending unit... and for whatever dumb reason I took the rod off as well and it is now kicking my butt. I've been using Permatex high temp thread sealer and...

    Remote mounted twin turbo

Saw an episode of Horsepower TV this morning where they put a twin turbo in a 2005 vette... the turbo's are located in the rear of the car. Was pretty interesting and the company offers bolt on kits for 2005 Mustangs as well. In addition, they have a universal kit which requires your own mods...

    How much to Dyno

I paid a $100.00 for a test and tune... I got four pulls out of it. The Dyno web site also has a dealer location funtion... give it a try and see what you find for shops in your area. Scott

    Magnaflow or flowmaster???

Here is a great comparison to the magnaflows... I have a similar setup with a 289 w/ hooker long tubes, 2.5 tubing w/ x-pipe and flowmaster deltaflow 50's. This video is from idle to WOT: Flowmasters Video I like the sound of my Flowmasters... but I have never owned magnaflows so my...

    Autometer oil pressure gauge question

Does this require the use of a specific oil pressure sending unit? In the past, I have used the oil pressure sending unit that came with the gauge; however it started leaking on top where the wire connects. I tried tightening down the bolt on top; but it still leaked. So I replaced the...

    NPD Shelby Hoods

You may want to check on this with Maier Racing... you may be able to use the lighter springs. Like on my application I am still using springs with the stock hinges; just not the stock springs. The have a much lighter tension. Scott

Took some pics by the bay

How do you like the KYB - Maier Racing 4.5 low leafs combo? I've got the same exact thing and it handles great but can be a stiff ride on a bumpy highway. Car looks great, Scott

    Paint On The Stang!!

Fix it now... if you are anything like me, your mistake will catch your eye every time you walk by. Two weeks after getting my car painted, I took the power steering pump out for the third time as I was adjusting the hoses; the fender apron had slipped about half an inch and I dropped the...

    NPD Shelby Hoods

Don't think so... I believe you will still need the lighter springs even though you keep the stock hinges. Just keep in mind, to get the fiberglass hood to look good may take a lot of work (meaning fit perfectly). I like my hood, but the fit is still not nearly as clean as the original...

    Head Work (stock heads)

I can confirm this from experience. Wanted to keep my stock 289 heads, so I had them ported - micro polished - tapped and it cost a small fortune. At the time, I wanted to keep a much more stock appearance... that thought process has since faded into more of a resto-mod philosophy. Get...
