Autometer oil pressure gauge question

Does this require the use of a specific oil pressure sending unit? In the past, I have used the oil pressure sending unit that came with the gauge; however it started leaking on top where the wire connects. I tried tightening down the bolt on top; but it still leaked. So I replaced the sending unit with a stock application from the local parts store... now my gauge is off the charts and pegged at over 100 lbs.

Any ideas?

Electric gauge senders are variable resistors, for the most part a sender must match the gauge. You will need to get a replacement Autometer sender that is correct for the gauge type you have.
