    I have 2 piece. So the back pipes arent in the way and you can use an open end wrench to loosen the back bolt. And with that bolt only holding the notch of the motor mount, you can slide the mount forward.

    So one of my valve covers is busted and it needs replaced. But all the aftermarket products are ridiculously priced. I cant find any on ebay, or craigslist. Anyone have any idea how much they are at the dealer? Or have any lost cost alternatives I haven't thought of? It just seems like a waste...

    That is not how you want to store a vehicle. That was back in the days of old ply tires. Tires these days (especially sport tires on a mustang) will not flat spot. It is worse for your suspension to be extended for a long period of time so anytime you store a vehicle you want all 4 wheels on...

    no 3rd or 4th gear :(

    before you order anything pull off the shifter boot and look at the shifter to make sure your stop bolt didn't work its way farther up. This would lock you out of both 2nd and 4th. Been there....

    yes because the bottom of the longtubes were catching on the K member. It only took 1.5 hours to remove the K member. It was worth it.

    last week i pulled my motor, trans, with longtubes attached and it came out like butta...I dropped the K member for extra clearance.
