    I recommend getting it powder coated. Take it to a professional, and have them do a high heat powder coat on it. I powdercoated a few parts here at work, but our stuff isn't high heat resistant, so it ended up breaking apart.

    The wrong transmission fluid would cause a whine. Mine has a slight whine now, which it never did. When I took mine apart, the previous owner ran gear oil. I put Full Synthetic Mobile1 ATF. 6 months later, it hasn't gotten any louder, and still shifts perfect.

    I never had an issue with my front. I have a 9" wheel, 245/45 as well. The only time I ran into an issue, is when I lowered it this past weekend. I rub on my inner fender well, but that would happen even if I ran a 15" wheel. I can't recall what my backspacing is though either.

    Decent amount, yes lol. I will be taking the car on a 400 mile trip here, so I will see how well they do then. I really hope I don't rub too much on the way there. I might remove my inner fender wells until I tuck my wires though.

    Quite surprisingly, it rides very well. No bounciness at all, feels more firm than the OEM springs, but I do have the occasional rub when I hit a dip. I am not hitting the fender, so I figure its because I am running 245's up front on a 9" wheel, and its hitting the inner lining of the fender well.

    Its not difficult at all! Don't let all the write ups intimidate you. I did my first one in January, and it went way better than I expected. Use white lithium grease to put the rear main seal back in, its the easiest way, and insures you won't ruin it putting it back in, if you evenly hit it...
