    question..

Do you have an intake and tuner? That is usually the most improvement for the money to start. Something like a JLT or C&L.

Anybody tear that underhood stuff out?

I have heard the same thing about the paint, but I have not heard any cases of it actually happening. I have a Steeda hood with nothing on it and the paint has been fine. It is not painted underneath though, so don't take it off expecting it to look nice.

    Rear caliper question

The sticky parking brake cable could have caused the problem if the brake stuck and she drove for a while and cooked the rear calipers. Were the rubber boots around the piston cooked or do they look ok?

    Rear caliper question

What were they doing that made you have to change them? I have never heard of anyone else having to replace them.

Just Bought an 08 Whipple Supercharged GT...what do i need to look for

Where do you live? Someone might be able to recommend a dyno tuner for you. That would probably be the safest option for you. That Whipple is easily capable of blowing the motor in your car with a tune that is off.

abs brakes.... easiest way to remove!!!

FR500S ABS MODULE I don't personally know anything about something like this, but maybe call them and see if it would help you at all. I do not know if it is something that would be standalone or requires other parts.

    pro kit drop

Yes. Just keep an eye on front tire wear, the factory spec on camber is a pretty wide range.

    pro kit drop

It would be smart to get an alignment, you should not need camber plates. However, the stock strut mounts are weak and can fail. The rubber blows out and they make a popping noise. If you have enough in the budget, replace them with something like the Steeda HD Strut mount or the GT500 unit...

    how to spend $1000?

Are you more interested in power or handling? For power, get an intake like a C&L or JLT and a tune. For handling get a set of Koni STR.T shocks and struts with Steeda Sport springs. A set of adjustable sway bars would be good too. Let us know what you want and we can guide you a little more.

Where can I find a good deal on Roush Supercharger?

Try calling stage3motorsports.com and see what their best price would be. They will beat the prices on their website. I got mine from them a couple years ago. Their customer service has been really good every time I use them. I just found the group buy you were looking for, it is under JDM...

How many miles on your S197, total and yearly

25k on an '07. I don't drive it in the winter, 275/35 tires would not do so well in the snow. I will get it back on the road this week, I would do it today but got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday so I'm not going anywhere today.

    Insane Sale!!! Big Brakes!

It should since it costs twice as much and does not have to make the compromises that the Mustang does. The GT500 compares pretty well with the base 'Vette.

    cooling system upgrade

I don't think there is any reason to try to convert an 05 or 06 to the later plumbing, I have not heard of anyone overheating their car. If you can find a good deal on an 05-06 then don't let the cooling difference discourage you.

    4.10 gears illegal in CA??!!

They still smog test cars in CT too, the state privatized it a couple years ago so that regular garages can do it if they buy the stupid machine. It's $20, if you fail you can't register the car. They won't do new cars for the first few years, but after that it is every couple years.

    Wider Tires and Stone Chips

I have 275 rears on my car and have not had any problems. I am sure it could be worse with a different offset. But 3M makes a plastic film that you could put on the side of your car to protect it. It looks fine, you only see a very thin line at the edges. A lot of people run it on the front...

Cost to install Steeda Ultra-Lite Springs?

It is not that difficult to put them in yourself if you feel comfortable doing it. You will need to get a spring compressor to do the fronts, but that is the only special tool you really need. They aren't expensive.

    BREMBOS and a flat tire

You might be able to find a set of 18" wheels to fit over your brakes, some GT500 takeoffs might be your best bet if you want to get the option of 18" tires. The Continental ExtremeContact DW or the Hankook Ventus V12 evo should be a good cheaper replacement tire for you on your 19" wheels, if...

    Question for other Supercharger users

See if Lethal Performance can get you a tune that gets rid of the hanging idle. I would imagine that they would be able to do that for free since you just spent a lot of money with them, they should just be able to update the tune. It might be worth trying before you buy a new TB.
