I have those same valve covers from PAW, and the "as cast" finish was a major pain to keep clean. Any dirty finger prints might as well been permanent. I powder coated mine and was very pleased with the results. To keep the polished fins, powder the whole thing and then simply take a finger...
The temp sending unit actually grounds the circuit to complete it.
You are using a relay? The gray wire from the relay goes to the sending unit, the orange wire goes to switched ignition, the big red wire goes to the fan, the big yellow wire goes to the battery voltage.
If you are not...
Just take the rotors, remove the wheel studs, and have the outside diameter of the hub turned down. I did this and was able to put factory styled steel wheels on. Cost $7.50 each!
Remove the wheel studs on the rotor/hub assembly and take it to a machine shop and have the hub boss cut down to fit the wheel hole. Thats what I did, and it worked great. Cost 10.00 per hub.
Also, I had very minimal caliper rub, so I took a grinder and took a bit off the caliper where it...
There is but one way to learn how to paint. My son and I did this in July, and believe me, it is worth it.

This is a 2 day school put on by HOK, and is taught by Brian Lynch.
He's the behind the scenes guy that really paints the...
I'm in Dallas this week working on a customers car, and went to Keith Craft Performance and learned of Uniques's shutdown by Texas DOT, FBI, & Farmers Branch PD.
This link tells the story.

I have been searching the net all over trying to find convertible top frame parts for a 65. I need the top bow part that sits against the top of the winshield. Just got thru installing a new top, and I have a severe gap right over the rear view mirror. I am planning on tearing out the new top...
thanks guys! i've spent the last hour or so polishing a lower molding from a coupe, and though it doesn't shine EXACTLY like the new ones, it's pretty darn close. I'm going to polish a few more times, and see what i've got.
Dallas Mustang says they have one in stock, so I'm sending my...
Well, actually, the windshield moldings on a vert are different. The left and right side molding wrap around the windshield post, clip in around the gasket, and have screws that hold them to the a-pillar, and the top molding also serves as a base for the vert top rubber seal to mate up to...
Howdy folks! I'm in bad need right now. I have a 65 vert that I'm building to show off in a booth at Barrett Jackson, and I've had a major problem today. I had all the trim pieces around the front winshield chrome plated and they came in today and the bottom piece was damaged beyond repair...
Under no circumstances should you attempt to replace floor pans while on the rotissire. You should have the car supported with jack stands on the tourqe boxes.
Oh the stories I could tell about rotissire boo boo's.
Has anyone used anything besides HIGH HEAT engine paint to paint their blocks? I am wanting to paint my engine block the same color as the body, and I've seen Boyd and others on the TV shows painting engines and transmissions the same exact color as the body. I've researched all I can and...
I stated i was using a 302 block for mockup, but the final engine will be a 351 based stroker. I thought that the 302 and 351 used the same oil pan, but my research proves otherwise. so i guess now i gotta find a 351 block to do my mock up with. I am determined to mock everything up and weld...
Please Help!! I'm mocking up a 302 block attached to a t56 in a 65 vert that i've installed a Heidts MII setup. Specifically, I'm needing a rear sump oil pan, and I don't think a fox body rear sump pan is gonna work.
anyone here done the Heidt's MII swap? and what oil pan did you use?
Yea, been doing more online research...don't think this is a good idea, BUT, what kind of power can a 4.6 2V motor make? can you put a kenne bell on it,
sorry, but I don't crap about a mod motor
Hello all, I have just aquired a 4.6 out of a crown vic pursuit vehicle that has 5000 miles on the engine, that was totaled out in a crash. I also have a 65 fastback that I am in the process of installing a Heidt's Mustang II IFS.
Question is can the 2V 4.6 Block be fitted with the 4V heads...
Well, I'm jumping off the deep end here. I have ordered a Heidt's IRS, and a Heidt's IFS from Mustang Depot. Installing it in a 65 Vert, I plan to take lots of pictures and keep you guys updated on the progress. Wish me luck!
